Love Gainesville! So much to do! The botanical gardens are lovely, and we loved 4th ave Food Park! YUM. Celebration Pointe is a nice area and Hana and Spurrier's are great restaurants. Definitely a foodie town. Piesano's is great for pizza and drinks. I wouldn't go back to Dragonfly Asian restaurant.

I was only there for the NHRA drag racing at the Gainesville track so didn't have time to see anything of Gainesville. But the Red Roof was very convenient for Gainesville Raceway, only 15 miles away so I would definitely return

Getting around Gainesville is very easy.
Getting around Gainesville is very easy. There's lots to do there. We visited the Butterfly Exhibit but did not have enough time to see the Museum of Natural History or the Art Museum. No lack of dining options. We chose to dine at Carabbas and both the service and food didn't disappoint. Lots of places to shop. With the University of Florida located there, it provided for a very youthful environment which we totally enjoyed. This is a town worthy of a visit.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. On Archer Rd and around the I75 exit, there was every store/resturant you could imagine. Gainesville is definitely a college town. Shands Hospital is wonderful and very conveniently located.

Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour.
Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour. While our walking tour was cancelled due to rain, the students did an excellent job speaking and telling us about the highlights of the school. We were lucky to have spent time walking around the day before. It’s a beautiful school. Very impressed. Also….Sweet Pete’s candy shop was awesome!! So much fun to walk through a 3 story candy shop! Beautifully decorated for fall/Halloween! Yummy too! 😍
Camelia Rose Inn was a nice surprise for me and my husband and a great start to our little vacations. Everything is so cozy, the Music was key to provide the ambiance with the living room, the delicate written message to guests gave a warm touch. We liked the breakfeast with different options, the bed that was so comfort that was a challenge to get up and the shower (great after a day at the springs in the region). We would stay again here if we could comeback to Gainesville.
This was our second year to stay with Hotel Indigo and my husband and I traveled with our two boys ages 3 and 5. We stayed in the Suite where they had their own bed. We love the pool, surrounding restaurants, the beds are so comfortable, and the breakfast is top notch. This will be our first choice any time we travel through Gainesville!
I was there to ride the trails of San Felasco Hammock Preserve. The hotel was only 20 minutes away, yet located near many great places to eat and visit. The indoor pool was a big plus as most the other hotels in the area had outdoor ones. I'll definitely be staying here again whenever I visit Gainesville.
there is a fine line between section 8 housing and Stayable select Gainesville. This property is sprawling and should be an upscale spot. the lake nearby has a malodorous aire. i wondered if the sewer ran into it somewhat. the staff meant well and I didn’t get ripped off. peoples livin there.
You know what your going to get when you book a quick hotel at last minute. Very convenient, very close to everything you need.
The bars on the after hour check in window was surprising 🤣
I guess Gainesville can get nasty.
The room for the price and for the quick convenience was great
This was our 2nd stay in this hotel in the past month. It's in a perfect location close to the doctor's office that we needed to see. It was just as comfortable and welcoming as it was the first time. This will most certainly become our hotel whenever we visit Gainesville!
We stay at Eleo every time we come to Gainesville to visit our UF daughter. We love the hotel, the location, and Covey Kitchen & Cocktails. The only downside is there is sometimes a long wait for valet. It would be wonderful to have a self-park option.
The hotel was exceptional! Really large rooms, kind and accommodating staff, and very convenient to the University (near the hospital side). There were great restaurants close by, and overall just a fun place to stay while exploring the area
A staff member at the hotel stole my phone and took hundreds of dollars out of my bank account, and when I had no money in my account they said get the fuck out and cursed at me. I spent thousands at that hotel and they are Devil 666.
We left earlier this morning. We loved the atmosphere ! We absolutely loved the Florida room! The shower is amazing! Your staff is amazing as well!! They are friendly, helpful and willing to help at any time.
Very nice simple but clean and with a great location if your florida springs . Suites a medium size family and close to many good eating locations . With easy check in and check out process and free parking .
The location is great, just outside of Gainesville but still convenient to everything. The hotel was quiet and clean. There were several families there enjoying the pool. It was a safe feeling.
The staff was friendly. The bed and room were nice, the location is in the middle of Gainesville which is nice but it also led to noise pollution from the main street.
The house keeping didn’t bring us any clean towels, there was blood on one of the beds. The toilet seat was broken. You don’t get any soap like at most hotels.
