Pod Brooklyn, hotel in Brooklyn

The Pod Hotel Brooklyn is located 644 metres from the Music Hall of Williamsburg and 966 metres from State of New York – East River State Park.

The hotel was affordable - for New York at least. The room was pretty small, but it was comfortable, well equipped and had everything we needed. The hotel is in a good location, close to the metro and a short walk to several good cafes and restaurants. If you're just looking for a place to sleep while you explore New York in the day, it's pretty much perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay - very friendly stuff and the way to the subway is a 10min walk over the Pulaski bridge. We can recommend the breakfast at least for some days… it gets a bit monotonous. Our room was spacious and well equipped.

FAQs about hotels in Brooklyn

The Giant of New York

Immortalised in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were a city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!

The borough is joined to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It is also linked to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the north-east, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while south-east is the huge Prospect Park.

On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighbouring Queens.

At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Regeneration is underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden rollercoaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.

Cheap Brooklyn hotels offer a good alternative to accommodation in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

Brooklyn is my home town, so im very familiar with how to get around. This hotel happen to be walking distance to one of my favorite bargin stores of all time. This hotel has a bus stop right in front of it that take you express into the city. During my stay i would walk the few block to the train station and once i was done with my day in the city i would take the express bus straight to the hotel, what a luxury. I always enjoy my time in New York !

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.

Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline, especially when timing with the sunset. Plenty of places to eat. We had a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Dyker Heights to the nearest subway and there were loads of shops, eating places and cafes - including the likes of Victoria's Secrets and Saphora, so I expect the area to be growing and becoming more popular.

Location to some of the best restaurants in Williamsburg, lots to look at within walking distance. Most of the staff were great such as front desk, restaurant staff and cleaning. Room is a decent size for NYC and we had a spectacular view of Manhattan. We also ate and drank a bit at the hotel restaurant and found it to be delicious. We ordered our own food and they let us eat in the nice bar area. From the 5th floor, you can’t hear the night club at the Water Tower above, thank goodness.

The concierge were wonderful. They directed us to the ferry as a mode of transportation to get to the Brooklyn Bridge. We never would have known about the ferry if they hadn't told us and we loved it! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for our purposes, and we were able to park right outside the hotel - so convenient!! I highly recommend this hotel!

The room service was on top of making sure we had towels and new bathroom stuff for the day. Very close to the trains if you know how to figure out your routes. I do say if you are trying to see New York for Times Square the bus route is easy but you have to know how to navigate and the Ubers are $70+. The restaurants around the hotel that deliver are actually pretty good and do late night delivery also super cheap !!!

The room was beautiful, clean and big enough, with an incredible view directly to Manhattan skyline, so we could take showers watching the Empire State Building, just incredible! This was the cheapest option we could find, when searching for hotels, and with a hotel minimal modern feel. Was very accurate with the pictures we saw. Even tho is in Brooklyn, is super near to the metro, and has everything you need, like supermarkets and restaurants. All the staff are really nice people, and super helpfull all the time. Staff was extremely helpful & friendly. Let us check in early [or a fee]. But it was worth it to have time to rest and change. We were in town for a family wedding and our amenities/price/room sizes were much better than the suggested hotels for the guests!! Everyone was directed to stay in Brooklyn/Williamsburg area and although we went off brand; we hit the lottery!!

Hi, I was super disappointed. The carpets were Nasty. The carpets throughout the hotel literally stuck to your shoes. The Bed was a cheap metal frame with a worn out mattress.
