The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. It feels like it was built recently and everything looks fresh and modern, both inside and out. The check-in process is fully automated — you receive your code the day before — and it worked smoothly for us. Just one tip: the cellular reception in the area is a bit spotty, so it’s best to have your code saved offline. But the real reason this place deserves the highest rating is not just how it looks, but how it’s run and how issues are handled. During our stay we had two problems come up, and both were solved with exceptional care and speed. On our last day, our lock suddenly stopped recognizing our code and we couldn’t get back in. I called the number from the communications email and Erica responded right away. Within minutes she texted me to say Keith was on his way — and sure enough, he arrived even earlier than promised. He quickly fixed the lock and provided us with a new code, all with a smile. Later, one of the toilets got clogged. Once again, Keith came by promptly and resolved it professionally without any hassle. Both times, we were left genuinely impressed not just by the quick response, but by the kindness and professionalism of the people helping us. It made us feel taken care of, and that’s something you don’t always get when traveling.

We really like everything about the Aspen Cabin..Very cozy with great cable..The full kitchen was great to cook things in and it was very clean..Michelle, the housekeeping lady, is so accommodating to anything that we needed..Great stay there..

We liked pretty much everything, the breakfast was fantastic, nothing fried for a change which was great, everything was healthy, we enjoyed it very much. Location of the lodge is also great, hiking is just around the corner or literally just behind the lodge. Then there are the owners who are just an incredible couple, very welcoming, very warm and with great suggestions of what to do in the area. We loved the room, the cleanliness of it, the fact that it was literally sound proof and we couldn't here our next door neighbors. Overall, everything was just perfect!!!

I liked the location of the motel. It was not too far from Lake Placid or the Adirondack Loj for high peaks hiking. The adjacent road consisted of a beautiful car ride alongside the Ausable River and falls. The facility and rooms were both clean and updated and had a wonderful cabin-like feel. The office had an assortment of games to borrow for added fun. No one was present at check-in, but the guest's last names were posted with the accompanying room number on the TV screen in the office. No keys or cards were needed to enter your room as it was a number pad preprogrammed to the last 4 digits of your phone...NICE! There were 2 pools onsite...a kiddie pool with fountain and the other with a diving board (and a surprisingly 9-foot depth). Both well maintained. A community fire pit was located in back between the motel and river. It was definitely a pet friendly motel with supplied waste removal bags.

We love this cabin because it has it character. It looked like cabin belongs to someone who built it on their own. It is personal, cozy, and perfect place to unwind . It has everything you need and the bed was comfortable. Secluded and private. Neighbors are distance away from the noise. You have the forest completely alone. The bath jet wasn't working and it made noise all night, we have to unplugged the electric code to make the noise stop. We love this cabin and planning to come back again. Perfect for a group of hikers. Great values.
