Everything was amazing! The place was excellent, I would like to come again next year! Wonderful stay! Very professional and clean! My stay was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The place is beautiful, spotless, and full of thoughtful details that show how much care and attention the hosts put into everything. The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and peaceful — I truly felt at home, everything was perfectly clean and organized. The hospitality was outstanding: the host was kind, friendly, and always ready to help, which made my experience even more special. It’s definitely one of those places that you already want to return to as soon as you leave. I highly recommend it!

The property is located very close to the gate of the Arusha National Park making it ideal for a day's safari. The rooms are well set out amongst the lush gardens and are incredibly clean. Although the beds are narrow, the mattress was extremely comfortable with nice bedding and matching curtains. The restaurant and sitting area were well appointed, airy, and beautifully constructed. We booked a safari and packed lunches from the lodge and were well pleased. the children enjoyed the swimming pool and games room while the adults swapped their books in the small library. The staff were always willing and helpful.

This is the perfect lodge to escape the usual bubble of Tanzania safari tourism. The lodge is run by the in partnership of the Watoto Foundation, which actively improves and improves the life of street children in Tanzania. - Food was good and prepared with love and care. - Breakfast was great, lot of fresh fruit, eggs to order and big portion - Dinner was served in multiple courses. All nice, daily changing menu - The lodge is run by solar energy so expect romantic lighting and a positive feeling of remoteness. My highlights were: - Coffee walk with local guide and women from the neighbouring village preparing coffee from green bean to roasting and brewing while singing Tanzania songs. - Reading, meditation and spending time in the Tea room with view on the picture perfect swamp… waiting for the hippo to come by. - Looking at the sky at night while sitting by the outside fireplace - Visit of the neighbouring National park

This area is close to the gate of Arusha N.P., Kilimanjaro...

This area is close to the gate of Arusha N.P., Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha Town. But....the area has it's own treasures: a beautiful tropical mountain forest where you can make different one/two/more hour walks. To spot Colobus monkeys, a spring, running little rivers, lots of different trees and flowers, butterflies, birds....little paradise. Also close is Lake Duluti where I made a canoe ride. And Chemka Hot Springs.. It has supermarkets and a market but also quiet nature.

I will return once I am ready with my safari.

I will return once I am ready with my safari. USA River has a lot to offer. Close to Arusha National Park, on the slopes of Mount Meru. Close to Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha Town Centre. And still in the middle of nature or little authentic Tanzania villages. Beautiful area to stay a bit longer!

A stroll through the villages is delightful, offering an authentic experience. Getting around is easy by car with a driver, or on foot for those who enjoy walking. You can rent bicycles, go shopping for souvenirs, or organize excursions to the major national parks. A visit to the Heritage Cultural Center is a must!
