This is the perfect lodge to escape the usual bubble of Tanzania safari tourism. The lodge is run by the in partnership of the Watoto Foundation, which actively improves and improves the life of street children in Tanzania. - Food was good and prepared with love and care. - Breakfast was great, lot of fresh fruit, eggs to order and big portion - Dinner was served in multiple courses. All nice, daily changing menu - The lodge is run by solar energy so expect romantic lighting and a positive feeling of remoteness. My highlights were: - Coffee walk with local guide and women from the neighbouring village preparing coffee from green bean to roasting and brewing while singing Tanzania songs. - Reading, meditation and spending time in the Tea room with view on the picture perfect swamp… waiting for the hippo to come by. - Looking at the sky at night while sitting by the outside fireplace - Visit of the neighbouring National park

A nice place for enter Arusha National Park. Clean and quiet rooms. Good food (Gabriel, your pumpkinsoup was a dream - so delicious!!!). Very friendly stuff (Wilson, you were so kind and helpful. Thank you very much! The hotel can be proud of you).

I only stayed one night upon arriving in the area. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It located off the main road but in easy walking distance to small shops and other conveniences. Thank you Godwin for the very interesting walking safari through the nearby forest. Airport pick up available any time.

Great place! Lillian was wonderful! They accommodated our very late arrival. The bed was comfortable and the living room was large and comfy. We had a great breakfast and Lillian helped arrange transport. Would definitely go back! :)
