Nice hotel with a big territory and good location The hotel has a large, beautiful territory with a lovely palm garden. There are rooms located both closer to the ocean and farther away — we stayed in room 97, which was close to the restaurant. A big advantage was that we still had Wi-Fi in our room, but please note that not all rooms have internet access — it only works well in the public areas (reception, restaurant, and pool). The pool is open until 7 PM. Breakfasts are standard — nothing special. Fruits are served separately (you can’t take them yourself), and there’s no meat or bacon, only sausages. Security guards are always on the beach, so local sellers can’t enter the hotel area, which makes it peaceful to relax by the sunbeds. Shops and an ATM are conveniently located within a 5-minute walk, which is very practical. The only downside was a musty smell in our room when we checked in — it didn’t really go away, you just get used to it after a while. Overall, it’s a pleasant place with a nice atmosphere, especially if you get a room near the restaurant and ocean. 🌴

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly It is a great location with the beach next to the resort. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a 2nd floor room with water view from the balcony The restaurant serves a nice buffet with some special orders available as part of the service. The last.night there offer a table for 2 candlelight dinner on the beach. There are activities and massage available. I highly recommend Sansi.

The location is excellent , right next to the best beach in Zanzibar . There are several cheap local restaurants and a liquor store next to the hotel. Spacious rooms with a fridge. European style bathroom. Very clean. Nice helpful service. It's very safe here. Breakfast served on the top floor in the hotel restaurant is sufficient (fruit, tea, coffee, juice, eggs). The owner is friendly and communicative. You can pay by credit card. Wifi works flawlessly.

i have been to more than 40 countries, lots and lots of hotels, but this one is unlike any other - the jewel of this hotel is its stuff. we spent 14 days here as a family of 4 and enjoyed everything. room was quite comfortable, clean, was cleaned everyday also. it was january 7 th, the day we celebrate christmas in orthodox christian countries, and the hotel gifted us a tour to Nakupenda island, we did not expect that and were very greatful for the amazing gift. you will not regret staying here, very close to the beach and restaurants, breakfast was normal ( not a lot of variety, but you will not stay hungry), stuff - excellent, special thanks to Maryam and everyone else. if we ever go back to Zanzibar, this is the hotel we shall stay again. great value for the price

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to...

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

If you are looking for white sand beach with the best ocean...

If you are looking for white sand beach with the best ocean waters and minimal tides, Kendwa is the best place in Zanzibar. The beach is the most spacious and greatest on the island and the village provides all the necessities you would need. With many tours and water activities offered on the beach you would hardly need to move anywhere else. It is also a walkable distance to Nungwi during low tide if anyone is interested in a more bustily environment.

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are...

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.

The location is great, just a minute from the ocean, there are a lot restaurants both expensive and very local ones, no issues with electricity, hot shower and air-con and the safe box. Card and cash payment is acceptable. Very safe to stay and walk around even at night, the owner is very kind and trustworthy. Very basic breakfast but it OK, no TV and fridge in the room, internet is breaking so often especially in the room, but it works perfectly at the balcony. It is very budget friendly and highly recommend it.

Long walks on the beach, swimming even during low tide. Some attractions are quite far and transport is expensive. Safari Blue Tour, Swimming with dolphins and turtles, Stonetown and the Serenity Spa were awesome. The trip advisor at the hotel assisted with bookings.

Great location on the beach, very nice and friendly staff, large rooms, beautiful grounds with many coconut palms Unfortunately, there is a lot of small plastic waste and cigarette butts on the beach near the beach chairs. Noise, pollution and danger from reckless jet ski drivers. DANGEROUS & Pollution

perfect location on the best beach in zanzibar. Beautiful:) loads of activities like boat trips, hair braiding, spa treatments, and all the water sports. not to mention the incredible sunset. We got the bungalow, right next to the beach with a plunge pool, and enjoyed it throughly. If we come back to zanzibar, will definitely book that kind of room again.

Nice three star hotel on the best part of Kendwa beach. Very clean with friendly staff. The food was nice and freshly prepared. The buffet breakfast was ok. The best part from our seven days vacation was the special diner on the beach with various type of food and local music group that made the evening memorable.
