Yussuf and his team are great and the lodge is really beautiful. It's very quiet, perfect for everyone who doesn't need a lot of people. We enjoyed the hammock, the beach and the nice atmosphere a lot.

The staff and dedication to detail was outstanding. The place is very well taken care of and the food was excellent. We got upgraded to the newly built rooms. The area was quiet and the balcony was overlooking the sea. We felt like we were in paradise!! They made a big effort to make it eco friendly, which we loved. We will definitely go back! It is a new hotel, but the best one that we went to in tanzania. The staff is lovely and helped us out werever they could. Would definitly go back if we are at mafia island in the future.

This is a very new place focussing on diving excursions with two very well equipped cabins. It is situated in the beautiful marine park area where scuba diving is exceptional. The area is not overrun by tourists and the cabin is a very cosy and restful place. Enjoy one of the evening cocktails, prepared by the friendly staff or relax at the poolside. The small resort arranges shuttle service to and from the airport.

Located in a quiet area next to the beach this small place to stay is a hidden gem. Each room is its own little bungalow, with high ceilings, AC and fan, big glass doors and a covered verandah looking over the sea, and good quality bathroom with plenty of hot water for shower. Beautifully maintained flower-edged sandy paths leading to the central restaurant/bar area with nearby places to lie on sheltered swinging beds and the beach. Simple yet filling breakfast consisting of served fruit, juice, eggs, toast and pancake. Lunch and dinner could be ordered with choice of fresh grilled seafood, chicken, beef, with salad/vegetables and small fruit-based desert. The grilled fish was excellent, but not always available depending on the local catches of the day. Friendly and helpful staff with many interesting activities to do when not relaxing! Organised reef snorkeling, BBQ lunch on a sandbar, and whale sharks.

We stayed in the Bungalow with Sea View at Kimulimuli Green Heaven, and everything was absolutely perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, but the true highlight was the incredible outdoor bathroom built around a baobab tree. Being surrounded by nature while showering was unforgettable – genuinely the most beautiful bathroom I’ve ever seen. The entire hotel is new, and you can feel how much heart and love Antonia and Hamisi have poured into it. Breakfast was delicious and served with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Antonia and Hamisi were also amazing in helping us organize activities on the island, such as whale shark excursions and scuba diving. Whenever we needed anything, they were there for us. The beach is only a 1-2 minute walk away and looks like pure paradise.

The bungalows are very cozy, super clean and the staff is extremely friendly 👌👍 The owner took us on a day trip with snorkeling and diving and had a lot of tips for us. He joined us for lunch and dinner and had an answer to all of our questions regarding whale sharks, diving, beaches etc. 100% recommendation !

I can not put in words how much I loved this place and the amount of gratitude I have for the manager. It’s a beautiful serene place with a beautiful pool area and delicious food as well as great apartments. The people working here are super friendly, beyond kind and helpful. Even during a medical emergency they remained calm and supportive.
