Great place to enjoy Alishan and the sunrise. The room was small but have enough space to make it comfortable. Bed was super comfortable and the staff help you with information. They also picked me up and dropped me off at the station as needed.

The hotel is located near the Alishan train station. The staff is very nice and explains everything very patiently. The room is good enough for 1 or 2 nights in the park. Bed is comfy. They offer different tours, if a tour is cancelled due to weather condition the fare will be refunded.

Despite some of the lower ratings, we had a positive experience at this property. For us, it was generally very quiet, with only occasional noise in the corridor, which was manageable. The room had a retro/old-world charm but was incredibly clean. It featured thoughtful touches like a mountain spring water tap and a lovely tea-making set, complemented by comfortable furniture for enjoying tea. While our room didn’t have the best view—overlooking the forest and part of the carpark—it was still decent. The exterior of the property may look a bit dated, but this didn’t affect the cleanliness or comfort of the interior, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to consider the needs of visitors to Alishan. For example, they offered a free shuttle to the bus station and were flexible with our plans, even providing an earlier transfer when they saw us waiting. The sunrise tour package they offered was very affordable and convenient, allowing us to save energy by avoiding the very early train transfers. The morning call for the tour was another thoughtful touch. The location is also very convenient, close to the information center and just a short walk up the stairs to the main square. Overall, the property exceeded our expectations. While it is on the pricier side—typical for the area—it is one of the more affordable options in the Alishan recreational area. Highly recommended for its cleanliness, charm, and excellent service.

Alishan Hotel is located in the Alishan Recreation Nature Reserve where walking trails are right at your doorstep. Shuttle buses were available every 30min to the Alishan Visitor Centre where there are some shops and food places. Hotel room was large, airy and clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Amenities provided were of high quality. Water pressure from shower is strong with hot water on demand, and heater in the room was welcome in December when the weather was cold. Staff at the hotel reception, shuttle bus, restaurant and room cleaning staff were all polite and proactively thinking of their guests. The 7th floor deck’s views of sunset was surreal. My family and I truly had a fabulous stay and we would return to Alishan Hotel again.

Amazing location relatively close to Alishan Forest recreation area as well as other points of interest. Preferably with own transport. Full, homemade breakfast, friendly host and beautiful sunrise.

The family at the tea farm were so friendly and welcoming, and we had the best food here in our whole trip to Taiwan. It is only 15 minutes drive from the forest railway and there were lots of hiking trails nearby. The room was basic but fine, with a large shared lounge area. we were there when the weather was cold and there was a heater we could use.

Offering a restaurant, Yeashow Villa is located in Chiayi. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas. Ali Mountain is 30 km away.

Excellent hotel experience ... stayed in 2 hotels in Japan and 3 in Taiwan in this trip...all average above 800 AUD per night.... this one is probably the best... Nice pool Semi buffet at this altitude is very good
