Sunrise Yunqi Teahouse had such amazing views. When we arrived, the first thing we did was taking photos at the front of the hotel, instead of checking in 😂. The owner was super lovely and patiently waited for us to finish. The place was huge and clean, so was our room. The whole place was nicely decorated, with poems displayed everywhere - you can tell they put a lot of heart into this place that’s more than a hotel, but rather a show of their love of love and respect for the guests. I also highly recommend booking dinner/breakfast with them - they again put so much heart into serving us with the best possible experience. This guesthouse is such a gem and a great find on our Taiwan trip!

Very friendly welcome, very comfortable bed, delicious and generous Taiwanese breakfast. It was close to some fantastic walks - Fenchi trail, and Cedar boardwalk. We had a wonderful view over the town and up to the mountain peaks. All staff were helpful and smiling. We stayed 2 nights and did not want to leave. Each time we returned to the hotel after exploring the area or food streets, it felt like we were coming home. Thank you to everyone at Yeashow Villa Fenqihu. I hope to return one day.

Great hotel. Staff is super friendly, and room very spacious and cozy. The bento box is slighter more expensive than I other places in the area but I found it to be nicer. There is a 7-11 right upstairs which is very handy and they give you 100TWD voucher for you to spend it there and grab breakfast

We loved everything. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise, and heading out to dig into an amazing spread of food made from their own farm, and once you're full to head aside and have tea with the owner. It's perfect.

The breakfast was phenomenal with incredible views of the mountains. The rooms were clean, with some nice touches like slippers, Alishan tea, crackers, and water. The staff were very friendly and even treated us to a tea tasting!

The host was extremely nice and accommodating. We got stuck at a bus stop down the road and he was so kind to come pick us up. He let us drop our bags off early and even offered to take us to Shizhuo for dinner. He used a translation app so everything was easily communicated

If travelling with older folks (>50y/o above) who are not...

If travelling with older folks (>50y/o above) who are not used to strenuous physical activities, I would recommend 3d2n stay in the area so that they can fully enjoy Alishan without feeling rushed, especially after the long winding drive up. Apart from the Alishan national park itself, I'd highly recommend going for the tea trail/ sakura trail/ mist trail around Shi Zhao Tea plantations in the morning if the weather is good.

Breeze area with nature forest and Alishan tea hills.

Breeze area with nature forest and Alishan tea hills. Must visit! Really a recharge to be there. If you have time stay there 2 nights at least to explore the area and unwind yourself in the nature. 1 night is still too short.

Back to nature.

Back to nature. It has a lot of walking trails with awesome views. Love the tea oil Chicken and fried stream shrimps. Best to rent a car or book for private transport to travel around Alisan as the interval for public bus iS at least half an hour.

An absolutely beautiful home with incredible hosts. They really helped ensure we were comfortable, assisting us with arranging transport to go watch the Alishan sunrise, as well as making sure we got to and from the home with ease.
