Great find, almost at the foot of the Pergamon ruins. Very secure, very nice and large room, (upper level room 5) overlooking the area in the main picture above. Breakfast was stunning, huge and extremely flavourful. A little swimming pool was a very welcome respite on a 39 degree day. The staff were all great and most spoke English quite well. Can definitely recommend.

Environment and the owner. Breakfast is simple but very good: olives are from his own tree!

Walking distance to Asklepion, one of the western world's first formal healing centres. Manager/staff very friendly and welcoming. The room felt homely with interesting decor.

Excellent location. Just opposite the Archaelogical Museum, about a km walking from the Asclepion, a few hundred metres from the Red Basilica, about 1.5 kms from the lower cable car station and 500m from the dolmus bus stand. Excellent room, great breakfast and very knowledgeable staff who helped me with my onward journey to Selcuk.

Breathtaking history and two very important ancient sites, the Acropolis of Pergamon and the ruins of Asclepieion, welcome you and transport you to a time of wonder. You can savor local cuisine and shop for rugs.

Ancient Pergamon is a stunning site (most of the sculptures, especially the famous altar, are in Berlin; there is not all that much at the Archaeological Museum in Bergama). If you want to see the entire site, i.e. not just the Acropolis, walk down past the urban settlement dig with House Z, past the Agora, down to the Lower Town (not much to see there, but you get a good impression of the scale of the city). Leaving through the turnstile at the bottom of the Lower Town means you don't have to climb up to the Acropolis again (which is quite a hike). And do not miss the Aklepeion, a beautiful and very atmospheric site (there's lots to see there too, so allow enough time, certainly 1.5 hours).

Bergama is magnificent if you like ruins.

Bergama is magnificent if you like ruins. The acropolis is spectacular, and the Asclepion (healing sanctuary) well worth a visit. There's a very nice small museum, and other interesting ruins to visit.

We stayed near the old town and only used our car to access Pergamon and The Askelpion. There are lots of small restaurants within walking distance in the old town, but be warned, Bergama is a dry city. You will find it challenging to buy alcoholic beverages in stores and restaurants in city limits. Two nights was enough to spend here visiting the sites and seeing the town.

This is an interesting town with a great history to learn.

This is an interesting town with a great history to learn. The old town is walkable and easy to get around. The ruins are fascinating but not as extensive as Ephesus. It doesn’t feel like a tourist town and we didn’t ever feel ripped off in any venue

Wonderful ancient sites , lovely peaceful hotel and nearby restaurant under the Acropolis!! Local otogard ( coach station) is almost deserted so travellers need to be told about the regular transit bus service to the town/ hotels

Good breakfast. Good environment for breakfast with friendly staff. The location is close to the cable car station. We walked there without difficulty though it is too expensive for us to take. It is good to call taxi to the Pergamon Ancient City as it is close from the hotel.

As already written the main advantages of this hotel were its location and "value for money". I should add that they arranged without any further cost parking for my car!
