Even though I only stayed a few hours due to personal reasons, I immediately felt at home thanks to Zuhal and Lukman. I arrived early in the morning, and they welcomed me like family — offered me a place to rest, something to eat and drink, and took amazing care of me. Their kindness and warmth were unforgettable. My room was very spacious and well-equipped — it had everything I needed, even a washing machine (with detergent), fridge, and kitchen. The hotel is located uphill, which might be challenging for some, but it’s absolutely worth it for the view and the exceptional hospitality. I would honestly return to Mardin just to see these two wonderful people again. Highly recommended.

Dilber and Mahmut were very attentive and had terrific suggestions for sightseeing and dinner. We would recommend to book a dinner at the hotel as it comes with an individualised menu of the local cuisine, which was very delicious. Best is the attention to detail. Everything .is locally sourced and at the highest quality. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world. We had the pleasure speaking to one of the hotel's owners at multiple occasions, explaining us the amazing history of the hotel, the region and its produce, making us appreciate our stay even more. A highlight was also the donkey transporting our luggage up the hill to the hotel and back. Finally, we have to compliment on the view from the roof top terrace. Ideal for taking pictures of the sunset or enjoying a cup of turkish tea.
