We went to visit a friend who recently moved there.

We went to visit a friend who recently moved there. It is not really a tourist town. We went to the Mangrove Forest and it was run down and unimpressive. The Saturday Market was underwhelming. The highlight was the view from "the hill". Surat Thani is what it is... a large city that gives you access to Koh Samui and a city for locals.

We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left...

We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left after 1 as there is nothing to do on the town but look at shops. One temple to visit if wanted. Wish we hadn’t stayed the one night! Ok for a transfer through to the islands but nothing more in our opinion. Our taxi took us to the wrong ferry office which was annoying and no one really helped us find the correct one, thankfully we made it in time.

Walking around the parks, especially Koh Lamphu., I didn't have time to see much else. Food was great in town and at great prices compared to Samui. Also has many supermarkets for extras. No 'nightlife' as such with most places closed after 10 in my area, could be different elsewhere though.

we like to see a mall after few monthes in Koh-Panghan. it was exciting to see it after a long time ... food in the mall is very attractive, not cheap in the prices of Thailand but its special as there are a lot of restaurants in the central-surattani mall where you get buffet of quality meat (pork/beef/chicken/seefood) and cook it by yourself on your table. was very tasty and exciting

Just a sprawling suburb but it is the hopping off point from train for Koh Samui. We chose an overnight stay to avoid whole day travelling from Hua Hin. Was a 5 hour train ride down and then a 4 hour plus journey the following day to get to Koh Samui. If you arrive and are hungry or thirsty, turn left out of station, walk 100 yards and there’s a cheap restaurant with very reasonable prices. Can’t remember name I’m afraid.

Nice location at river side, very quite area and nice garden but dry at this time of the year. Host very kind and rooms are very clean good size and a/c is perfect. Swimming Pool clean and good size. No breakfast dining drinks available so you have to drive 2-3 km to nearest 7/11 to bring what you need. But its a nice place so no thumbs down here.

SO CLEAN!!! Didn’t realise what a difference proper cleaning makes but wow. This place was incredible. It felt so comfortable and was genuinely nicer than any other hotel I’ve stayed in Thailand. Lovely swimming pool that you can use in the evenings which is a huge bonus! Staff were lovely and it felt nice and private. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you!🤗💗

The property is ideal for Surat Thani. This is merely a stop over on route to other parts of Thailand. There very little to do here and most things are shut. The hotel is literally a bed to sleep in. Whilst the bed was a little hard it was a quiet place and very dark with the lights off, meaning you actually slept well! Does the job.

We stayed for one night before catching a flight from the airport. The place is perfect for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a private bathroom. Very clean with a small fridge. The hotel offers breakfast for 100 baht and an airport transfer for 200 baht. Very convenient and reasonably priced.

I only stayed for one night on my way back to Bangkok from Khao Sok. Nice hotel with a decent pool and excellent location, right in the centre of the city. My room was clean and well facilitated. Very good value for money and I'll book again if in Surat Thani.
