It’s always a great experience at the Phutawan. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and spacious. It was cleaned early every morning while my wife and I ate breakfast at the buffet across from the pool. The grounds are very well kept up. Very clean and beautiful. From check in to check out it was over all a great stay.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, we were upgraded on arrival to a Tropical Villa and the room was beautiful, All the staff on reception, in the gardens, everyone we met were friendly and polite. We loved.. that there were 2 types of monkeys and monitors lizards and beautiful stuff looking after us so well. The breakfast was amazing everyday. We have never stayed in the better hotel in Thailand. We have been in Krabi railey beach 4 times..but this was so far the best and it exceeded the expectation. Thank you.

Really beautiful area with SO much to explore on foot and by boat. Walking street is amazing. Phra Nang beach is gorgeous but a little busy at times. Tonsai beach is worth the walk to get there. Amazing trip we loved it and would absolutely go back. Do a longtail boat tour private to see some islands, take a climbing lesson!

It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis. I ripped a pair of shorts at another pier which is not a great setup.

Railay was one of my favourite locations during our month...

Railay was one of my favourite locations during our month long holiday. We stayed here for 4 nights, I would have stayed longer. I loved the laid back feel of the town, everything is in walking distance.

Beautiful spot for a beach holiday.

Beautiful spot for a beach holiday. The landscape is totally stunning. Railay Beach is very touristy during the day though, since most boats from the mainland arrive on that side of the peninsula. I would recommend to spend some time walking towards the south beach of Phra Nang Beach which is a lot quieter and has some pretty amazing rock formations right in front of it.

The majestic cliffs that meet the water are stunning ! Easy to get get boat to phi phi islands and other islands for a day trip . Great freash grilled daily caught seafood on the walking street . Get up early to enjoy this stunning location without the crowds . It gets too crowded mid day

Railay Hilltop is more akin to a lodge than anything else. I wouldn’t call it a resort. That said, it functions well if you consider it a lodge rather than a hotel room (this is what you get for going for the cheapest accommodation on the beach). I recommend keeping your aircon on even when leaving the property — this wards off mosquitoes and other annoying critters. Beds are ok and toilets function well. You get the essentials I say.

Railay is beautiful - be aware though, weed is everywhere! It's the Nimbin of Krabi!! Railay Village Resort & Spa is excellent - right on the beach and rooms and pool are lovely. It's a bit of a hike to get to from the pier though!
