I stayed in Old Phuket town, which is the quiet side of the city and my hotel was a walkable distance to most places. I do however wish I could’ve split my stay between Patong and Old Phuket town, to get the whole experience of Phuket. I enjoyed the Sunday night market, the vibe and food was really amazing. There are so many affordable nice cafes to visit around Old Phuket and sightseeing places. The Sunday market is brilliant.
The Sunday market is brilliant. Starts at around 4pm and goes on until 8 or 9pm. Phuket old town isn’t a party town and most places shut around 9-10pm. The architecture is beautiful to see and adds another level of interest.

Here you can feel and see how people leave. Phuket Town and it´s old center are not a party spots but to get the sense of life. With that said, any number of bars and restaurants are available as well everyday amenities like drug stores and shops. Try the Moo Hong Phuket Style at One Chun Cafe & Restaurant. This dish is savory and full of different spices but not spicy. But as a general rule, if they say any other dish is spicy, it will be very very spicy. Tennis courts were rugged, but you could play. Pools and beach were clean + although the hotel was almost fully booked, there was always room everywhere.
