Beautiful resort situated in the prime location along Ko Kradan’s main beach. Snorkelling is just off the shore where there is a big reef that goes along the entire beach where you can see huge puffer fish, parrot fish, sting rays and an assortment of other tropical fish. Off the beach snorkelling is great all over the island. The resort is small but beautifully maintained with comfy sun loungers that are right on the beach. Breakfast is great with fresh eggs, fruit etc as well as Thai breakfast options too. The rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The mosquito nets on the beds were much appreciated as Ko Kradan does have a few mosquitos especially in the evening. Bathrooms were nice and spacious and are located outside with nice big rain showers with great water pressure and good hot water. What really makes this resort is the wonderful staff. Noon organised my transfers to and from the island which ran like clockwork it was so easy. A special mention goes to Way and Naew who really made my stay special and were super friendly and attentive. The resort is situated in the middle of Ko Kradan’s beach and away from the pier which can get busy with day trip visitors so the resort is always nice and peaceful. The resort is also a 10 minute walk from Sunset Beach on the other side of the island and a 20 minute walk from Ao Niang beach which also has excellent snorkelling.

Amazing stay at Mook Boonchu. The room was a great size, en-suite and a space for drying clothes out the back (perfect for beach stuff). The host was brilliant, she and her family were so accommodating, they set us up with a tour to the emerald cave and koh Kradan which was brilliant and only 4 of us on the tour so got to see the cave when it was a bit quieter. The included breakfast every morning was made on the spot so was fresh and delicious. They were happy to answer any questions and direct us to the best spots on the island. Great location too - just a 10 minute walk to the pier and surrounded by great restaurants

Island is completely pointless to visit unless the weather is good. With gray skies the price of the island is not worth going to. It's too expensive compared to other parts of the country. Sadly I stayed 4 days and didn't see the sun once

We visited Koh Kradan for the first time and spent there...

We visited Koh Kradan for the first time and spent there just 2 nights. Wonderful sea full of fish. Small island. You can rent a kayak. We were charged 500bth (2 adults, 1 kid) at the arrival at the pier as entry to the national park. That may make sense, maybe is better to know about it before. Just about only 7 resorts next each other. Wonderful beach with natural shades from trees. It was worth it to stay there 2 nights rather than to come just for a quick trip by longboat.

The the beaches are beautiful.

The the beaches are beautiful. There is no town, only the resorts (including their beach bars and restaurants), so besides enjoying the sea and relaxing, there is not much else to do (which is not necessarily bad if you are there for that).

What a fantastic tropical island.

What a fantastic tropical island. Great beaches- Sunset, Paradise Beach and don’t forget the hidden gem of Ao Niang Beach accessible at low tide or via the Paradise Lost Resort. Great Italian restaurant at Kalume. Cheap Thai snacks at the Visitor Centre and fantastic Muslim cuisine at Ao Niang.

Koh Kradan was given a title of the "best beach of 2023",...

Koh Kradan was given a title of the "best beach of 2023", and now there are loads of day-tour boats coming in, especially on weekends. This may ruin the atmosphere for people staying overnight. Also, a bad surprise was the amount of garbage on the island. Makes you very sad to see all this plastic scattered everywhere. Another thing to consider - extreme tides. When we were there, the water on the beaches disappeared in the afternoon. When the water was high, the beach was full of longtail boats and day-trippers. So, all in all, I don't recommend to visit this island on high season. Due to the increased number of tourists, it has lost a lot of its charm.

The Mali Kradan resort was an excellent breakaway from the city…yes…we had lots of mosquitoes and yes…sometimes the restaurant didn’t have everything they had on the menu but the beaches were amazing…the food in the restaurant was fresh and very good…even made fresh pizza in their pizza oven and the service was absolutely amazing…. Wifi was not that good but overall. 1 week was just right and definitely would recommend Mali Kradan

Beautiful place to stay on a lovely quiet beach with sun loungers always available next to the beach. The atmosphere of the restaurant and grounds was perfect with a large almond tree and pretty shrubs and flowers. Owners and their staff could not have been more helpful. Food was good. Despite the problems (particularly the coffee!!) if you want to stay on the beautiful island of Koh Kradan, I would stay at Kalume.

Good PRICE-PERFORMANCE ratio, friendly staff, fast Wifi, location directly at the wonderful beach with the best water quality, no infrastructure around hotel because the whole island is national park, the beach was suitable for swimming at lunch time - later the water level is very low.
