Location is great for relaxing. The hotel is right in front of the sea and it is natural to be beaten by the humidity and to look dated. Staying in a hotel that is 75% empty maybe scare some people, but to me it is a bonus, less people in the swimming pool, less people in breakfast etc

Really welcoming staff, who were very helpful and forgiving of the mess made by our kids! There is good space for children to run around and explore, and a stunning beach with good waves for swimming. Food was good, staff were really helpful. Pool is shaded most of the day.

Local right near the pier. The boat driver and taxi brought me from the Koh Phra Thong. They rang the phone number, a guy came and made the bed. Handed me the key. Seen a lady yesterday asked for money that l owed. That was it , staff not needed.

It was the best! The hotel is very clean and convenient overall. The room, the beach, the pool… the bed was I think the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, the bathroom was amazing, wide, clean and practical. The staff was amazing! They were so friendly and all spoke very good English. The beach is really good too. At first I was scared because they warned us there might be jellyfish but we didn’t see any and everyone else was also enjoying the ocean, so I don’t think it’s common. The sunbeds get busy during the day but we always managed to find one. There are really nice restaurants/bars and massage places on the beach too next to the hotel. There is happy hours during the day at the pool bar and you get 1+1 on the drinks! The breakfast was good with selections wide enough. We haven’t tried the hotel’s restaurant but ordered room service once and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a top resort experience and we definitely want to come back.

The whole experience at Khao Lak Marriott was wonderful from the moment of arrival, parking our car, assistance with our bags, and an easy check-in. An electric buggy whisked us to our room, which was delightful, immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and bedding. The sandy beach was clean, overlooking the quiet and inviting Andaman Sea, plus the choice of resort pools allowed for some serious or playful swimming. All resort staff were exceptional, helpful, knowledgeable, and always with a warm greeting and a smile. Good buffet breakfast included in the price and wide food choice otherwise available all day at the resort. Thank you, Marriott, for a lovely stay.

This is a beautiful property nestled by the river. Inn, the owner of BanTonRuk was especially kind in making sure I had all the facilities. He speaks great English! He even arranged for a taxi for an unconventional and distant site-seeing. He made sure he was available for all my queries or concerns. And even offered to help over the phone if I had any need for translation! The property is not very far from the Bus station, and young travelers can reach from there by walk. But smaller tuktuks are available for cheap. There is also a mall and a petrol bunk close by.

Ko Kho Khao is a stunning island with the most amazing beaches that I have seen anywhere. At the time we visited, the island was quiet and if you saw 2 other people on the beach as you at the same time - you were doing well. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Recommend having your own transport like scooters so you can explore the island and get around.

We spent 6 nights in A2 villa. Location very close to the beach. Well kept facility. Clean and neet. Garden in good shape. Wonderful beach. Almost deserted. Excellent pool. Two parts: 1.60 cm and another one a bit more shallow. Breakfast according to the standard of the hotel, nothing extraordinary but ok. Very hospitable service. If you need a calm place, come here. If you want city type life it is not for you, good also for the families with children.

Very nice! Great mix of a resort and a laid back beachfront place. The rooms/houses are nice and comfortable, beautiful property with lots of palm trees, nice pool, directly on the calm beach.
