I enjoyed my stay very much with Olivier and his lovely wife. The breakfast is a must, it is very healthy and super tasty, and one of the best coffees on the island. Overall one of the best locations, to the beach is only 300 meter and the 7 Eleven and bars are just some minutes by foot. The rooms were super clean and had everything the traveller desires, also good for families, I felt super safe there with Olivier and his staff.

I loved the puppy that invited you he is the cutest dog ever!! The place is great, clean and has all the facilities you need for island life. Nice and quiet. The hammock was a plus. Good location as well, enough away from the noise but close enough to walk to shops/restaurants. Owners are lovely as well.

Quite out of the way, so very quiet. There were evenings where I sat in the infinity pool, looking out to sea, and all I could hear were the waves. The infinity pool was absolutely brilliant. Rooms were big and clean, with a nice balcony. The beach is just outside the hotel and was very clean and faced the sunset. Great place for a retreat from things.

Hotel is lovely. Its location is perfect. Direct access to Beach. Good choice of restaurants ask though the hotel restaurant has a varied menu, the food is excellent and you can dine on the beach as you watch the sunset. Breakfast selection was excellent. The staff are very welcoming whilst having the upmost professionalism. Taxi / ferry combo can be arranged by the hotel at the same rate as other options.

Sylvan is vertical resort and beautiful.

Sylvan is vertical resort and beautiful. They do a great job helping you get around. Expensive but you get your moneys worth. Great staff, great views, Santhiya Tree was impressive but probably looked really nice 8 years ago. Over priced, hard to find. No sign to long entrance road. Restaurant named Apple Kitchen at entrance was great and very inexpensive. I’m 80 and my wife is 83. They gave us the top floor with no elevator. Steps are uneven in height so be careful. A real workout. Breaks my heart to see the wood rotting from neglect. Next resort is Lagoon Prince. Stayed here many times. Old resort, good value, closer to ferry. White Sand Beach is great at night. Food up the beach at Soul & Sand is excellent. Every resort on the beach has a good vibe. From high end to very economy.

Ko chang is a hidden jewel, lots to do and see with other amazing islands to visit. Worth 4 nights stay on anyones itenary. Good viewpoints beaches and bars, much more laid back than pattaya but still things to do. We ve enjoyed the island and would come again

Ko Chang has no real central beach and on those beaches, there is no real central area; it's a bunch of hotel along the road. Nothing like Koh Samui. The beaches are very far apart and Lonely Beach is pretty run down, so choose wisely.

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and...

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

Supposed superior rooms like a lot of places and hotels in Thailand have not been maintained properly and let go. 1500 TBH per night for the room I stayed in I’d say at absolute best it’s worth 1000 TBH per night, the thing is a lot of these owners of hotels are short sighted, if they spend a bit of money to keep the place up to scratch not only can you charge more customers will always come back! I probably wouldn’t stay here again for the price. There’s better places on Ko Chang at better prices.

The staff were very helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was wonderful, the best we've had in a hotel in Thailand!. Our bungalow was fabulous, very clean, comfy beds and pillows and a great bathroom with plenty of space for toiletries.

Very nice place to stay. The gardens are right next to the beach, not far to walk to beach bars and restaurants. Lonely beach where the hotel is situated is perfect couples, not noisy or too quiet
