Very clean, well maintained, super friendly staff who were very accommodating. The location is far from the city but this is what I preferred. Hang Dong has a great food market and supermarket shops around, it's easy to get arpund if you have your own transport.

We arrived quite late and had not eaten yet. The owner made sure we still could get something to eat at a local place that had actually closed already. The accomodation itself was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable aswell. Definitely a recommended place to stay a night. If you plan on staying more than 1 night, a rentalscooter is recommended. There's a lake on the property aswell with nice places to sit and relax. Staff is really nice and helpful. We had trouble getting a taxi back to the airport after our stay and they were actively trying to help us getting one.

The entire setup of the place was beautiful and cosy We stayed in the two storey house surrounded by garden, we were greeted by host that comes with their pet dogs, puppies, cats, ducks and they have sheep too. It is also in a convenient area with easy access to many places of interest like the Kad Farang Village night market on wed nights. Oh yes, it's 1 min drive to grand canyon water park and 4 mins drive to second wind and ranch mountain horse riding experience

The entire place had such a warm feeling. It's set up nicely in the style of the region. Located among lots of green foliage, it gets really quiet and silent at night. The bedroom was big with an adjacent room to store your clothing and a corner for coffee making. Then the bathroom was large and very clean. The first morning, we had breakfast there, so good, and so cheap. We had two sets with 2 omelettes, bread, yoghurt fruits, croissants, sausages bacon, local sweets, and more. The price was only 150,- a set, let nobody ever complain that is too expensive. It's very close to the Night Safari, only a 5 minutes ride. 15 minutes from the airport and about 20 minutes from downtown. We went one day on a zipline adventure trip with King Kong Smile, which is a thrill of a lifetime. 130 meters in the air with a few lines going over 1000 meters, the longest being 1200+ meters. We just left, but we are missing the place already. We will be back for sure. Thank you so much.

I visited Chiang Mai together with my 4yo daughter and we absolutely loved our stay at Rice Barn and Rooms. If you’re looking for a remote place where you can enjoy a stunning garden and swimming pool, animals and authentic countryside vibes then this is your place. Al and Nok are the most amazing hosts and they did everything to offer us a comfortable and pleasant staying. Thank you!

* Pool, the breakfast restaurant and views from the pool are the hotels forte. * Huge set up on vast hotel grounds, then again the rooms are all in a really large concrete appartment building but somehow it works with all the greenery. But activity centres around the pool, outside that there is not much soul to the place.

The hotel staff - Tukta, Shane and Win at the front desk - were all very kind and friendly. The breakfast was extremely good with many cooked options and nice bread. The grounds of the hotel were very beautiful with tasteful gardens and water features. We would like to come back and stay longer!

Lovely hotel, but probably not really geared towards tourists. The hotel is on a large golf complex. The food in the Thai restaurant was nice, but relatively expensive. Room was a nice size.
