Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.
Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.
To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?
From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

Bangkok is a great city, but it is clear there are the have and have nots in Bangkok which is never good in any city. Obviously the sights of Bangkok are amazing from the cultural landmarks, markets and street vendors, but having come to Bangkok from Phuket there is a clear difference in the attitude of the people. I got the impression that this is a city that although is has prospered hugely from tourism, its residents are fed up with the foreign tourists now and would love to get their city back. Food in Bangkok was fantastic, anything you could possibly ask for is there and its all good.

I only stayed 2 nights and the city landscape and skyline has changed tremendously in the last 25 years. I would stay 3-4 nights next time. Prices are on the high side in restaurants, particularly with the customary inclusion of a 10% service charge plus a 7% tax which is not the case in most of Thailand.

The northern part of Phra Nakhon has considerably more to it than Khao San Road. We found lots to explore around the canals and plenty of quirky eateries. No need for public transport, although there's a bus route along Samsen Road.

Location is perfect. If you are traveling to bangkok for shopping, hotel location is perfect because pratunam market and indra square is walking distance. Have so many dining options. A 7-11 is next to the hotel. The road might get crowded and traffic in busy hours. Hotel had late check out options and airport taxi services. Airport taxi was very punctual and the driver was very friendly. Late check out charge was reasonable. Briefly hotel is worthy for the money paid.
All the staff are very friendly and accomodating, we started our stay here for the first part of our trip before travelling to other parts of Thailand across a mix of resorts, private villas and hotels. Sivatel was one of our top 3 stays and if we visit Bangkok in the future we would come back. The rooms are clean and spacious and overall facilities are well maintained.
This is one of only a small number of good hotels in Old Bangkok, near the principal sites. It turned out to be an excellent choice - spacious, very comfortable rooms and very close to one of the new metro stations, which made it very easy to travel around Bangkok and out to the airport.
The breakfast and dinner menus are fairly limited but the food was delicious.
Best breakfast (Thai dishes !!) we had in Thailand, prepared by Kanta‘s mum.
Rooms are large, clean and super quiet. Very comfy beds and bedsheets. Wonderful hosts. Only 10 mins walk to EM Quartier and BTS, close to good restaurants. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Bangkok, and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed at in the city.
Excellent pre-arrival communication and front office staff. Professional, helpful and very friendly! The beds are among the best in Bangkok( we’ve experienced most high end 5 star hotels). Crisp and extremely comfortable with high quality linens and pillows.
