We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Amphawa. The property truly feels like a private villa – very family-run, warm, and welcoming. The garden with the beautiful pool overlooking the small river/canal is simply stunning and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, always making you feel at home. The absolute highlight for us was the breakfast on the outdoor terrace with a view of the garden and pool – simply fantastic. A very special mention goes to Ms. Gift, the young chef in the kitchen, who prepares everything à la carte and serves it with a smile. It doesn’t get any better than this. Truly a TOP recommendation!

Having travelled all over Thailand for 40 days, myself and my partner both agree that this was our favourite stay of the whole trip. The staff here are wonderful. Despite not being able to speak English, we uses Google translate to converse and they were all super helpful and accommodating with any questions we had. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. We loved the breakfast here - there was lots of variety, with daily staples like sausage, toast, eggs, coffee and juice being coupled with Asian dishes like chicken rice and congee. All delicious and fresh. Our room was super clean and large, with a lovely balcony overlooking the property too. The fridge was ideal to keep the bottled water provided cold, and you are also given toiletries (soap, shower cap etc) daily. I’ve seen some reviews say that there is nothing to do here/ it’s hard to get around but I do not agree. It’s a 20 minute walk to the floating market or a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride (you can ask for one to be called for you). There is also a songthaew bus stop in Amphawa which can take you to Maeklong Railway Market for 10 baht. Also if you wander around the local area on foot you will find some incredibly beautiful cafes scattered about. There is also a 7 Eleven for snacks etc. Finally, the restaurant literally outside of the hotel gates is so good and affordable. You won’t need to go far to eat well!

What a wonderful spot for lodging! This charming homestay sits alongside the river and is just a short stroll from the floating market. Although the room was cozy, it offered great comfort. The owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Additionally, I had the opportunity to experience the mesmerizing fireflies tour, which was truly unforgettable.
