Boontam and Ni (apologies if we misspelled her name) were truly some of the most delightful individuals we've ever had the pleasure of meeting! Every moment of our stay was an absolute joy. Their home was not only welcoming but also featured a fantastic porch with a breathtaking view. Boontam went above and beyond to share his favorite birdwatching spots, ensuring we had everything we needed for an incredible experience. The Karen village where the homestay was situated left a lasting mark on us. It was an unforgettable and enriching experience that added a special touch to our journey.

The farmstay is situated in a beautiful valley in the middle of a rice farm. Make sure to arrive before sunset to experience it from here. We got a driver recommended from Kowit who drove us to the farmstay and around in the national park the day after. Facilities are simple but meet all needs, including hot water shower. The included dinner and breakfast was a great experience with multiple courses served.

This place was a little gem! We don't read Thai but it wasn't too hard to find. You can park right in front of your room, which is a studio/bungalow-style. Shower pressure was surprisingly strong and hot - felt great if you're hiking around Doi Inthanon during the day. Bed was very comfy. Room had more amenities than we expected. It looked like you could order food although you may need to be able to read and speak Thai to do so. The neighbouring rooms had really nice hotpot sets in the evening. Alternatively you can walk to a nearby restaurant up the road which also served up a great variety of Thai dishes.

A hidden gem in the mountains with amazing views on doi Inthanon, which is at a short drive away. The place is built with lots of love. Its a brand new wooden cabin, with lots of space and nice terraces, lovely dogs and a very nice father and owner. Its not luxurious, but thats fine, as it would make it less authentic, considering its situated in a small mountain town...Unbelievably, but true, there's the best Italian restaurant I ever visited in Thailand, at a 7 min walk!!
