I loved! 🥰 The place is very beautiful. The plants, the birds, the view, everything is clean and aesthetically beautiful. You have to climb stairs, but that helps to exercise and after two days you can see the results, they also help you with your bags, so it's not a problem. It has stairs and a ramp, I have knee problems and I had no problems because I went up and down the ramp. It is located in a quiet area at night, so you arrive exhausted from the day and sleep like a baby, you can order food and they bring it to your room. I liked the food that I can order there more than that of other restaurants, the beach is very close, the yoga center is also next door and there are many shops and places to exchange money or ATMs nearby. Nearby there is a pharmacy store, candy store, replica stores, there are bars, restaurants, a massage place and a laundry. The customer service is the best, we loved it, they care that you feel good, we hired the taxi service with them and they always made us feel very good. Before our arrival, they were already aware of us and we communicated by messages. Nearby there are many resorts but none next to the beach and I prefer personalized attention than a resort where they cannot give you a quality service like here, the service was excellent, I take to my heart the kindness with which they treated us. I thought that my days in Phuket would be boring so I decided for the best area, kata, but I never thought that I would love this place so much and there are two very cute cats there to say hello. There is also an iguana that greeted us from the palm tree. The place is very central but calm.

It was perfect! From the room, to the hotel, to the people inside it. I cannot recommend it enough. I've been in Phuket in many hotels, and this is by far the best one. The host is amazing, a great friend, that takes care of everything. Always there for you. The place is quiet, with a beautiful view to nature, but you're still close to everything. So it's really good if you want to rest properly. I had a problem with sleeping, couldn't sleep for nothing, every hotel I was in was too loud for me. But then I came here and I started sleeping normally again. I am so happy that I found this place. Highly recommend! I will recommend it to my friends, and I recommend it to you! Also great if you are a remote worker. Good wifi, peaceful, you'll be able to get work done, no problem!

We stayed for 8 nights in Grand Kata Vip and were very pleased with everything. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, and good air conditioning. Room service was excellent, beds done every day, water bottles replenished. The hotel is located next to the Kata night market, with lots of shops and restaurants around. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly, ready to help even in the middle of the night. I would definitely recommend the place.

Kata beach was a very touristy and fairly crowded beach, but...

Kata beach was a very touristy and fairly crowded beach, but there are a lot of things to do, and its is lively all day and all night. There were a lot of families and people of many ages, it is a place where you can probably find tours and activities for a very long time. We ate at the Kata Walking Market, a Mediterranean place called "El Greco" and a fun breakfast place. All the food was good and I was not disappointed with any of the places we went. Compared to other areas of Thailand I think that its more expensive - but still very affordable overall.

We had the most amazing sunset sooo beautiful the beach was perfect the people so lovely it was just a friendly beach with surfers jet skiers lots of activities to keep you busy if that’s what you want and really lovely bars we liked the surfer bar so cool

Kata was nicer than Patong - less night life, We didnt enjoy the beaches the amount of rubbish in the sand and water is very sad- not just Kata we found the all the Phuket beaches the same, very sad or maybe we are very lucky in NZ to have beautiful rubbish free beaches

I loved my stay at Chanelay garden resort hotel where staff were amazing especially Gain who made my stay exceptional. She was incredible helpful and her professional manner and attitude made me want to come back to the hotel again.

Kata Beach was busy, especially at the southern end.

Kata Beach was busy, especially at the southern end. We rented a scooter and visited Karon Beach and Hai Harn Beach. There are heaps of shopping, money exchanges and restaurant options in Kata Beach. We walked or used a scooter.

Great, long and clean beach.

Great, long and clean beach. Sadly, the sea was too rough for swimming most of the time, but OK for splashing through the waves. It occasionally calmed down in the late afternoon/evening. This was in low season, so to be expected. A bit naughty, the sun bed vendors required the same price (100 Baht) irrespective of how long or short a time you wanted to use them. I've no idea how (or if) they remembered you had paid if you went off for lunch etc.

Absolutely stunning hotel, we were impressed and mesmerised by all of the decorations and beautiful exteriors. The pools are also great, it's a mini oasis in busy Phuket. The breakfast had many options which we enjoyed - mix of local and international flavours. There is a shuttle to Kata beach which is convenient but note that Kata beach is very busy and full with tourists so it might not be your preferred beach

We did not eat at the restaurant there but there are many great places to eat nearby. The hotel is walking distance to Karon Beach and easy to get Tuk tuks & taxi's to other areas. There is a bar across the road from it that plays music late into the night, so if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping ask for a room not facing the road. This area is very far from old Phuket

Loved the feel of old school Thailand staying in this one level complex, bungalow style... away from the garish concrete jungle resorts full of Russians that is almost the only option here in Phuket these days. This property was quiet (only at day time) laid back, friendly, calm super clean and felt very Thai.. the staff smiled and the gardens were beautiful.

Kata beach is in walkable distance. Many cafe/restaurants around. All of them walkable too. Room was tidy. Honest daily cleaning. Everything that should be changed, is changed. No smell of canalization(Which is an issue in a lot of places on Phuket). Hot water is actually hot. Staff is very friendly and responsive.
