Excellent B&B in a historic building, right in den center of Ptuj. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good shower and even a fridge and a kitchenette. Free parking and dog friendly too. The breakfast was excellent and generous. Ptuj makes a great base to explore the surrounding area. The wine grown in the area is also very good. Now, what makes this much more than just a comfortable and lovely B&B to stay at, is host Andrej, who went out of his way to make us feel at home and who despite leading a very busy life as "chief priest" took a lot of time to chat to us, show us his amazing clock tower and the beautiful church and gave us some great tips on what to see and where to go walking with the dog. He speaks perfect German and also English. He manages to be very discreet but always available at the same time. We loved our stay in Ptuj and thoroughly recommentd a stay at Sobe Prostija to anyone passing through. There is a lot to see and do, so three nights were definitely not enough. I hope we can come back some time. Thank you so much, Andrej and team for a fabulous stay!

There is nothing to say because the title "Paradise" exactly tells everything. The house is even more beautiful than you can see on photos. Valerija is a kind and thoughtful host. She waited for us to arrive in the late hours, and every time she saw us checked, that we were all right and nothing missing us. She also prepared some food in the fridge and other small details. Everything was just perfect. We had many places to stay in Slovenia, but this one was definitely the best. Without any doubts, I can just recommend you to visit Vali's Paradise.

Fantastic old town with free parking (for once!) Just outside city , was beautiful up at the top at sunset, there is a pretty walk along the river which takes you to z Thermal centre where you cam book in for treatments

Ptuj is a lovely old town with much history.

Ptuj is a lovely old town with much history. My husband was born there so I have visited many times and was very happy to see how the tourism has become more popular in the last 2 years. However Ptuj is still a very relaxed town with a nice cafe culture and some lovely restaurants with both modern and traditional food. A walk up to the old castle is a must as is a stroll along the river. The town boasts the oldest wine cellar with delicious wines on offer. The old cobbled streets can be a little steep for some and many choose to get around on bicycles. The town looks beautiful when all lit up on the evening especially the view from the river

Very nice historic town by the lake and river.

Very nice historic town by the lake and river. You have to see is the castle and its museums. You definitely should enjoy the breathtaking view of the surroundings. The Kurentova hiša museum in the city center is also great. We appreciated the nice interpretation of the guide who introduced us to an interesting local custom. I recommend eating at the fish restaurant Gostilna Ribič or at the restaurant Gostilna Amadeus. If someone likes ice cream, then I recommend Sladoled Deti at Slomškova street 14 where you can get a huge cone of great ice cream for 1.8 euros.

I loved it! The town has a very good vibe.

I loved it! The town has a very good vibe. Despite the old town not being very full of people, it is pretty amazing. We had the opportunity to have a tour guide, whom I highly recommend. She shared many interesting and funny facts or legends about this beautiful place. We stayed just for two nights, but next time I would love to take a bike trip around, visit the castle, and enjoy the spirit in the Music Cafe or the town cinema (the oldest cinema in Slovenia. :)

The accommodations were excellent.

The accommodations were excellent. Room was a perfect size, super clean, updated and comfortable bed. Breakfast and coffee were just what we wanted. We left with a full belly. Host was amazing. Answered all our questions and more! Location was within an easy walking distance to all local sightseeing buildings and restaurants.

the restaurant was good , but the hotel was not ,

the restaurant was good , but the hotel was not , the shared bathroom was not clean , the overall impression run down , reception busy with the restaurant , had much better experience in most of the other places i booked with you . first day breakfast ( 17. may ) both unfriendly and poor . no black tea . can not be recommended .

This is a true gem. Located perfectly in the old town of Ptuj. Great garden with drinks. No noise at all from the garden in the room. The room as well as the whole interior is masterfully and cheerfully designed. It is very clean and very comfortable. The hosts are friendly and easy to communicate. My only regret is that we stayed only one night!

Hotel is located just in Ptuj town center in very beautiful historical buildings, the hidden jam of hotel is inner hotel garden. We appreciated perfect service of reception, who helped us select best tours around town and recommended also best local wines provided by hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighbourhood is calm and peaceful, but at the same time, you can still enjoy the beautiful old town of Ptuj (located within walking distance). Breakfast was delicious and full of local specialities. We hope to be back next summer :)
