Got a free upgrade which was an amazing surprise! The room was really nice and clean with very good air conditioning. The facilities were great, hotel bar/restaurant was good. Right next to a bus stop so easy to get to the city center etc. Very comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly.

A Capital City with a Small Town Charm

The charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana is the only large city in the country. Dominated by the Castle Hill with Medieval Ljubljana Castle on top, the city is a picturesque Balkan mix of architectural styles, romantic bridges and scenic views.

Due to two major earthquakes in 1511 and 1895, which destroyed many buildings, the Old Town features a range of styles: from Roman period, through Medieval Baroque to Vienna Secession. Slovenia is beautiful and Ljubljana is heart of it. Everything from here was convenient. We drove to Lake Bled in North and in South we went to Piran. Both locations were nearby from Ljubljana and the drive was beautiful. We drove up to the Logar Valley and that was a scenic route. The downtown has good nightlife with pubs and clubs around. We did have a walking tour of the town and Ljubljana is just awesome.

Ljubljana is a lovely city.

Ljubljana is a lovely city. You can walk and even have a short hike to the castle. Many restaurants along the river banks. Lot of intersesting galleries and meauseums. The local food offer is excellent, even for people with special demands. We were there on few occasions. Around Christmas the city is beautifully decorated, and regardless the cold all people sit outside in the cafes. In the summertime it is nice to walk around. It is very clean town. People are friendly, kind and helpful. Short ride from Ljubljana to other Slovenian landmarks.

Ljubljana is one of the most beautiful cities i´ve been so far. The city is very clean and very safe, with beautiful architecture and statues. I can recommend a guided tour, to learn more about history, culture and architecture (by land and by river boat).

Amazing capital city in beautiful Slovenia and very affordable for those looking for somewhere a bit cheaper than Switzerland but same sort of nature of trip. I took the funicular up to the castle which was €6 return and had pints of lager at Many and Mary's which ranges from €4 to 4.50 a pint (much cheaper than the UK) From Ljubljana I was also able to day trip it to Venice in Italy which cost me £34 (€39) return with Flixbus and return back to the same hotel in Ljubljana that night so it's extremely good there for international transport Getting around Ljubljana itself was easy and very walkable, no need to use buses there if your able to use international data allowance and Google maps which worked fine for me with Giffgaff, 5gb ran out on my final day as I arrived into Vienna airport to go home

Ljubljana is a well connected city in Slovenia and almost all parts of Slovenia are within a 2-3 hour travel distance from there. This makes it a great central location to explore the natural wonders of this country. The country is a treasure of natural beauty no matter what season you visit.

Room was very comfortable, clean and modern. The bed and pillows were comfy which made for a good night's rest. The hotel staff were very friendly and even let us check in at 10am after our early morning flight which was super helpful. Breakfast buffet was good and filling. Location to both city centre and bus station was less than 10 minute walk which was convenient.
