The location in Dreznica is dreamy. It was a rainy day and the host had switched on the heater in the room, so we would be warm and dry when we got in. It was very thoughtful of her. She lives upstairs and is able to guide you to nearby attractions.

I have to say, that this stay was really the best one I ever experience! Perfect location (in the center) so you have all the restaurants, ice cream shops etc. really close. The rivers are really close. What was our best experience? the owners were really great and helpful with everything. They provide us with great POI, guide us on where to go swimming etc. Looking forward to go back! Best Stay in Slovenia

Spotlessly clean and modern room with private bathroom with washing machine/dryer if needed. Our hosts couldn’t have been more kind and helpful and had safe storage for our bikes too. We would definitely recommend Room Aria and would love to come back to spend more time here.

Everything about this hostel was perfect and would say it’s the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Alot of thought and effort has gone into the execution of creating this place. Located a short distance from Bovec, I was welcomed with an easy check in and clear instructions of parking my vehicle. Facilities were kept clean through the whole stay, beds and dorms were comfortable and loved the privacy curtain. A fully equipped kitchen and social area space to utilize and a very cute outdoor area was out the back which could be enjoyed even when it was pouring down with rain. Thanks for an awesome stay even though the weather wasn’t on my side when I stayed.

Kobarid is a nice little town situated on Soča river between Tolmin and Bovec. There are numerous possibilities of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, paragliding, kayaking or simply taking a dip in stunningly turquoise Soča. Short drive to Nadiža river which is also beautiful. Kozjak waterfall and hanging bridges are obligatory to visit.

Kobarid is a very charming place, ideal for an active vacation. However, there aren’t many cycling routes separate from the main road, which can sometimes feel inconvenient or less safe. Compared to other nearby towns, Kobarid is quite small.

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000...

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000 inhabitants, but as a regional center the town serves a cca 5000 heads strong community. Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river. My visit to Kobarid (Caporetto) was primarily to spend time in its superb war museum and the WWI open air museum on the Kolovrat 15 kms to the east. As mid-September is classed as 'out-of-season' getting to the latter proved difficult (no public transport out of season!) but with the kindness of strangers - the people of Kobarid - I was able to make it there. The scenery in this part of Slovenia is spectacularly beautiful, the people of Kobarid warm, helpful and friendly. I hope to go back some day.

Kobarid is great for hiking.

Kobarid is great for hiking. Unfortunately I was there when it was raining for days and didn't dare to do longer hikes. There is a great museum in town, but after having seen that, there's not much to do when the weather is bad. When the weather is nice, there are many great hiking routes from and to here, and buses also help you get back from Tolmin or Bovec. Unfortunately some other non-round hikes end in Magozd or Dreznica and there is no public transportation to get back to Kobarid. I would definitely recommend the town for 1-2 days to pass through, see the Napoleon bridge and Kozjak waterfall, and check the museum!

Kobarid was an excellent base to see sites around the Soca...

Kobarid was an excellent base to see sites around the Soca valley. We particularly enjoyed the pass to Predil with its ruined fortresses, the Boka waterfall, the WW1 museum, the Italian mausoleum, and the trench lines at Kolovrat.

A good place for a short stay. The hosts are nice people. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is minimal. To be honest, we didn't even need to use it since there are plenty of restaurants just 20 meters from the apartments. Located in the center of Kobarid town. Nearby are cafés, ice cream shops, a war museum, and the Kobarid Historical Trail. Everything is within walking distance. We used the hotel's rafting service and weren't disappointed. We had a wonderful experience, great emotions, and an amazing guide - Jara.

The apartment is located in a quiet corner near the central square of Kobarid. You have local bakery just around the corner. The owner was incredibly welcoming and heartwarming. Even brought us a plate with local goods to taste. Communication with her was effortless, and she had no problem with our swiss shepherd in sheding season 😁. The interior has incredible cosy modern design!

The little hut we stayed in is situated in the green mountains near Kobarid. It is suuuuuper calm, the nature is beautiful, there is a small waterfall nearby. We absolutely loved it! Lidija and Vinko are so friendly and kind, we got a fresh lemonade and drinks upon arrival and even some cake to enjoy. They are super friendly! I would always come back - everything was perfect!

Lovely big, clean apartment well equipped (but no condiments, coffee, milk etc..). Buzzed reception and was met with the key. Great location in town with its own parking which was great. Kobarid WW1 museum is on the corner (well worth a good long visit). We added breakfast which was a plentiful buffet of hot and cold food.
