The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. You have everything you might need. Situated in the heart of historic center of the town and just a stone’s throw from restaurants, bus station, bakery and grocery stores. Kamnik is a nice and quiet town, but in case you’d feel that it is too loud the windows are completely sound proof, well blinded and there is also air conditioning. So you don’t need to worry about anything which might disturb your stay. But, what is the most important, the Owner is super helpful, very friendly and communicative. He helped us a lot with getting around and was always there, when we needed something. You feel here like you are really a guest and not only a customer. To sum up I would give a note 11 out of 10 if I could. Highly recommended stay!

Our first experience with glamping and we couldn't have chosen a better place for this. We loved the quiet location, atmosphere of the place, all the little details that made it special. The hosts are the nicest friendliest people you'll ever meet! We honestly loved our stay. For our arrival, they left a bottle of wine and chocolates on the table which was so nice after a long day of difficult travel. We were gifted tomatoes from their garden and a delicious freshly baked (by the host) cake in the middle of our stay. When we wanted to drop by a local farm to get some cheese, the host was nice enough to call them to make sure they're open and to expect us. The place itself is lovely and clean. It's clearly been renovated recently and is well taken care of. The decor is pretty and well thought out. The town itself is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and you can see some of them from the patio. The view of the garden is lovely as well. And they also have the most adorable monkeys in their home (right below the rental) that we loved watching on our way in and out. Overall, it's a top notch place and we will absolutely be back if we return to Slovenia, which we definitely hope to do.

The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute...

The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute drive away, and the views from the top on a clear day are breathtaking, and a MUST if visiting the area... well worth ther 26 EUR round trip! Make sure you also visit Ljubljana ... one of the most beautiful small capitals in Europe . It's just 45 mins on the train from Kamnik Graben, and a much better option than driving as car parking in the City is approx. 2.50 EUR an hour. The pizzas at Pri Cesarju in Kamnik are simply the best, and if you want a great burger then '7 Burger' just outside Kamnik is a great option. If you have a car go up to Stari grad nad Kamnikom for a coffee and spectacular views, just a shame that the viewing platform remains closed and inaccessible. The Pekarna Center is a great bakery in the centre of the town, which is opposite the Veronika Cafe which serves the best coffee and cakes! If parking in the centre of Kamnik you get the first 30 mins free. Also remember that NO supermarkets open on a Sunday.

Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia. It has a nice old style town and within easy car distance are some great walks in the higher mountains. I suspect at busy times of the year and the school holidays in Europe Kamnik will be a busy place and booking early will pay dividends.

We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia. We came mostly to see Velika Planina, which was worth it even if it was a cloudy, windy, and cold day up there. We stayed in Kamnik for two nights, leaving early in the morning to catch a flight on the last day. The Kamnik old town was very cool and fun to walk around for the old architecture. However, when we went (Fri-Sun in late September) almost no shops were open, which was frustrating because I could see cool handicrafts through the windows. The whole town honestly felt a bit deserted. In addition, there are very limited places to eat dinner in town.

The mountains are incredible, so different!

The mountains are incredible, so different! There's a nice historic town centre and all the villages around there are pretty and neat. You can take a cable car up the mountain which is definitely worth doing. It's so easy to get travel to anywhere you want from Kamnik so we were very happy we chose it as our base.

We travelled to Kamnik for a wedding and booked Hisa stare mame as it was close to the venue. We really enjoyed our stay there. It exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend it. The apartment is really neatly decorated and the level of cleanliness is superb. We were not bothered but someone might complain that you can hear steps from the apartment above because of the wooden ceiling that adds to the countryside cottage look and feel.

Great and nice location in Kamnik. The monastery is very quiet with nice view of mountains around Kamnik. We enjoyed also breakfasts that were provided earlier than usually based on our request. We really appreciate hospitality of this accommodation and staff. We'll come back again.
