A great place to stay in for families. A unique hostel with interesting history, located in a region where Astrid Lindgren's books are a living story. Owners where very helpful and made plenty of recommendations on what to visit in the neighbourhood. A very well equiped and organized kitchen. Kids had planty of space to play. A very nice place for a family Trip...we got a round tour at the farm, pet the very new born baby goats and went for the small hikes through the forest and farm land. Very close to Vimmerby with Pippi, Ronja and Co.!;-)

Extraordinary welcome by the hosts. The small space is well planned out and modern. A huge plus was the big backyard with trampoline, swings, climbing frame, etc. With two young kids in tow, this was a godsend. The location was perfect; beautiful forest walks close by and a short drive to Astrid Lindgren's World. A great stay.

Astrid Lindgren's World is the best place to visit if you...

Astrid Lindgren's World is the best place to visit if you are a family with children. The actors are incredible and the whole place is just gold! The town is otherwise small and there are no shops in the core center at all. But the square is still nice with places for children to play.

Perfect location at a very good price, about 20 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's Road and the man who runs the accommodation was very nice and welcoming, so I can highly recommend this place, so we will definitely come back.

+ Most comfortable hotel bed I've experienced in a long time + Lovely to be able to have dinner on the outdoor terrace while the child could play on the large playground right outside. - The food in the restaurant did not meet my expectations. Having said that, I would still like to point out that what we ordered tasted good. And the child ate a lot of the children's buffet.

A charming little town where you'll find your Astrid...

A charming little town where you'll find your Astrid Lindgren image of Sweden perfectly reflected. We wanted to, and were able to, avoid the crowds at Astrid Lindgren's World. It's located outside the town, and we were there without children. The train journey to and from Vimmerby was very pleasant and relaxing.

A perfect place going the Astrid Lindgren Värld in Vimmerby. The place is set in a beautiful rural setting and is a great place to stay if you want to catch the "Småland vibe". Perfect for children with a gymnastic hall and playground outside. Friendly staff. Good beds. A great place to stay for families.
