The concept of a non-profit association, where the locals volunteer to run the place and our kids could stay in an old school was great! As everybody takes care, it is also super clean and comfortable. You are also just a bicycle ride away from Bullerbü and close enough to Vimmerby.

The spotless clean, very nicely decorated, well maintained and well equipped cabin reminded us of the time when Astrid Lindgren’s heroes had lived. Close to Katthult and Bullerbyn or other Astrid Lindgren sites for a visit. Very nice family and friendly alpacas we got to feed. A unique experience, do highly recommend! We’ll be back when in the area.

We had a wonderful stay in Vimmerby at a hotel that truly deserves the label child-friendly. The location is ideal for families, with easy access to both Astrid Lindgren's World and Leo's Playland—two attractions our kids absolutely loved! The hotel offers great facilities for children, including a cozy playroom and a movie room that made our evenings both relaxing and entertaining for the whole family. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it was easy to unwind. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged for both adults and children. We slept really well every night—it felt like a little retreat amid all the adventures. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel restaurant served delicious food, and there was something for everyone—kids and adults alike. Plus, the town of Vimmerby itself is calm and safe, making it a perfect destination for families who want a vacation without stress or noise. All in all, a lovely experience and definitely great value for money. We'd be happy to come back!

The staff was really friendly and made us feel like home by being really courteous and always doing the most to make us feel welcome. We were offered freshly baked bread, the fireplace was lit up only for us and it was insisted on taking care of our dishes. Really the best experience we had with hostel staff! A very nice place for a family Trip...we got a round tour at the farm, pet the very new born baby goats and went for the small hikes through the forest and farm land. Very close to Vimmerby with Pippi, Ronja and Co.!;-)
