The staff were incredible. Kind, friendly, attentive, chatty. I was in town for Melodifestivalen, a huge event at Friends Arena where Sweden picks their Eurovision entry. The show is effectively Sweden's Superbowl and is a Swedish institution. Their attention to detail, with free hot dogs and "Mello Muffins" in the bar were lovely touches, plus sign making and glam stations for the kids!

It was a great experience to live in the Gio Hotel. The personal is very friendly. We had a big cleaned and cosy room with comfortable beds. In 15 minutes you can reach the City Center (Serge Torg) and in 33 minutes the Arlanda Airport by bus.

Beautiful view, modern design of the hotel. Hotel is located close to train station, it takes just 7 minutes to get to the Stockholm city. We really enjoyed the breakfast and staff was always super kind and nice. Will be back!

Lots of choice for breakfast. Very fresh fruit and various pastries, along with cheese and meats. For me the location was good as a 20 minute walk to where I needed to be for work. Also close to restaurants.

The breakfast! So many things to eat and drinks, also gluten free food and a separate fridge with milk for people with allergies. You can find both salty food and sweet, from different type of eggs (scrambled, hard-boiled, medium-boiled), bacon, swedish meatballs, vegetables, cheese, different type of bread, yoghurt and as many toppings you want (muesli, dried fruit, cereal, honey…). Also croissant, cookies, marmalade, monoportion to prepare waffle and all the drinks you can imagine (shout out to ginger shots!)

Away from the noise and expense of central Stockholm, but a short and easy train ride to all the attractions or the old city. Lots of inexpensive nearby restaurants. Ideal for families with children.

Easy access to Stockholm.

Easy access to Stockholm. Good range of shops in the mall of Scandinavia which is right next to the strawberry arena in Solna. The nature reserve at Rastasjons is great as there is a paved path and provides a peaceful close to nature walk with wildlife and you can also cycle round too. There are good transport links using the metro and train. Lots of lovely restaurants of various nationalities eg Greek, Italian and Japanese to mention a few. We ate at the Greek and Italian restaurants and the meals were delicious on both occasions.

The public transport into the city centre is excellent and...

The public transport into the city centre is excellent and is at the hotel Gio's doorstep as is the Flygbussarna coach service to the airport. There are also several local restaurants very near to the hotel. The wonderful park is just across the road.

Solna is where the arena for concerts is in Stockholm so ideal if you want to go to a concert and don’t want the hassle of taxi or public transport. It is a nice spot with a big park and shopping centre.

Very quiet, small neighborhood!

Very quiet, small neighborhood! Very safe, but not much to do or places to eat/shop/ You'll need to head into Stockholm for all of that. There is a small grocery store (Coop) that had a great selection of fresh fruit/veggies, and fresh baked bread, among other typical items. It's open 7 days a week, and in that area most everything was NOT. So it was great to have the option to purchase food items there.

The days we spent in the apartment were very good, clean and very spacious. The receptionist is spectacular, very pleasant, helped us a lot, congratulations on the service. We liked everything about Stockholm, the Visa museum has a beautiful history. The boat trip is also spectacular and super affordable. We also visited the grand place, it has good bars and restaurants. And for those who want to save money and don't want to eat in restaurants, there is a great supermarket almost opposite the hotel.

The hotel is north of the city centre which meant it was good value for money. It’s really close to the metro station so getting around Stockholm was easy. There are hotel parking spots in the underground car park and there were plenty of spare places. It felt very secure. The hotel is in a shopping mall which is unusual but it’s fine. Excellent breakfast with lots of clearly labelled vegan options. I was very impressed with the vegan items. I will definitely stay here again if I’m back in Stockholm.

The apartment was very spacious and the bathroom was also huge! It also felt secure due to having to scan your key card to get through any door and use the elevator. The kitchen was well equipped and I appreciated that there was a microwave. It’s also not too far of a walk from Solna Centrum metro station, which allows for quick access to downtown Stockholm. The bed was also quite comfortable and two nice pillows were provided per person.

Friendly stuff, good breakfast, great location to get from the airport and to the city center. Not a disadvantage - but perhaps the hotel could offer few rooms with 2-3 single beds for those who travel with friends; still it was no problem to share a big bed and we also asked for separate blankets.

Location is great, it's a quick trip to Stockholm centre. The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean, the breakfast selection was great and the breakfast service was amazing too, so attentive! Reception staff members were super helpful too. Would definitely stay here again 😊
