This place is in incredible. The staff do so much to make you feel so comfortable as soon as you pull up. We were greeted so warmly and Petite took us for an awesome stroll around the village and to see the sunset. We also had an opportunity to talk to the owners about some of the amazing work they do with the community and to meet some of the children they support. On top of all of that, the food and customer service was absolutely superb! Do yourself a favour and stop here to meet the staff! They have a coffee shop and awesome little bar too. A perfect relaxing place. Close to the national park, embedded in a nice tranquil village. Food, service and attention are outstanding. The food is mostly homegrown, the owners are nice to chat with and help to organise everything. After a week of hectic conference in Kigali this was the perfect place to hang out. Thank you!

This was our first time visiting Akagera National Park. We were torn between staying inside or outside the park. So very happy that we chose Ihema Lodges. This is a beautiful, small set of lodges (5 in total I believe) with luxury interior and superb terraces with exceptional views. The sunrise was incredible, overlooking the lake and Tanzania in the distance. The food was also great, meticulously prepared by a caring cook. The breakfast was healthy, balanced and different every day. We will come back again, hopefully with friends. Such a quiet, lovely place - a gem, perfect for couples, but also a great fit for families on their "weekend-away" from Kigali.

A very calm and peaceful place to relax in harmony with nature. The staff is invaluable — for example, I have leg prosthetics, but everything went perfectly as they arranged food delivery directly to our tent. The food is delicious, and the service is quick.
