I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart!

The service was very good, nice view from the rooms, and the food was very delicious. The personnel helped us with booking a car and guide for the national park and provided us with lunch packages. The Lodge is super close to the south entrance, which was comfortable. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the national park.

It is situated closely to the national park entrance. With regard to the location, the object has solar energy. To charge your devices overnight, your host will provide you with a batterypack. The host is very nice and attentive. Breakfast according to the menu is served at the agreed time directly to the room. Parking is spacious and behind the gate of the property.

The service was impeccable. The rooms were rustic but beautiful. High end glamping. Food was delicious. To date, the most unique place I have stayed. Will book again on subsequent trips to Rwanda.

Julienne has created a beautiful space in the main house, the gardens and the various bungalows. When we booked we chose Rutete mainly based on proximity to Akagera park, but Rutete is really worth a visit even without visiting the park. If you are visiting the park don't rush off, it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy the food from the garden, and hear the story of how Julienne built the place. She also helped us with getting a guide for the park, and our onward bus journey to Kigali. I would definitely recommend and come back if I am in Rwanda again.

Akagera guide's House is located in Kabarondo and offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. The property has garden and inner courtyard views.
