Very nice room, quiet and comfortable, with a little table in the front to eat outside. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Situated very close to the city centre (10 minutes walk) and close to the mountains (30 minutes drive). The landlady was extremely welcoming, and she could speak English and French. Extremely nice accommodation, very friendly and welcoming hosts and a great place to try local home cooked meals. The outdoor area is a museum and collection of old Romanian artefacts , tools and traditional clothing. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Small town, nothing much to visit but A LOT to visit around it, the car is a must have. Unfortunately there is no rent-a-car in Hateg, but if you plan your trip by train, you can select Deva or Cluj as destination and rent a car from there, after that go to Hateg.

A wonderful location, where we will gladly return whenever we have the chance. Everything was as expected, the apartment is ideal for families with children, where they will enjoy many toys and books. The host impressed us with his hospitality and prompt collaboration every time. We highly recommend the A&A Hateg Apartment :X

It is located in the center of historical vestiges: Hunyadi Castle, Sarmisegetusa Regia Fortress and Dacian defensive fortresses, Sarmisegetusa Ulpia Traiana Fortress, Historical Museums. Natural reserves: Bismarck Reserve.

Hateg is a location with many attractions.

Hateg is a location with many attractions. From the famous ancient Dacian and Roman remains Sarmizegetuza Regia and Sarmizegetuza Ulpia to the mountain hikes, Lolaia waterfall, Bucura Lake, the Throne of the Ancestors to the Prisop Monastery and a little further on, the Corvin Castle, you will be amazed by everything you see.

It's a place where you have the Retezat mountain next to you...

It's a place where you have the Retezat mountain next to you or Prislop or the Jiu Gorge. No crowds and no hustle and bustle. Quiet. May it stay that way. Wonderful energy. Art bistro in the center is a 10, rarer is a more diverse restaurant.

There's nothing to see or do in Haţeg, but the tourist...

There's nothing to see or do in Haţeg, but the tourist attractions in the area (the bison reserve, the two Sarmizegetuse, etc.) are worth every penny. We ate at the guesthouse for food. Traffic in Haţeg is reasonable.

The property is just across the bridge from the center of Hațeg, and has a large yard, with plenty of parking spots. Everything around looks new: the rooms are large, clean, and tastefully furnished. Although I've seen shower cabins with radio installed in other places, this was the first time I experienced one that was actually functional! Air conditioning but also insect screens installed at the windows. A common kitchen, with many useful appliances (microwave, gas stove, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, etc.) was available.

A cozy place to spend some time. It is a perfect location if you want to see the Geopark. The place is situated in the central part of Hațeg. There are some nice restaurants around, as well as shops and bakeries. There is a kitchen with all the essentials, so you can cook if you want. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.

I would anytime choose this property over an usual 4* hotel, the room was exquisite. The owners are very nice and helpful and the hotel is well maintained. The food at the restaurant was good and it’s always full, thus the serving takes long. Overall, I think it’s the nest accommodation in the area.
