The location is great, the view in our balcony was superb! Indeed, the carpet is old, the bathroom is basic, but we had hot water & heating. Before you guys, give little stars to this hotel, think that the other 4 stars hotels are much more expensive. The area itself is expensive.

Perfect view from the terrace down where you can sit in the evening and have breakfast, and also from the room, we really enjoyed sitting and watching the lake and nature around, very silent and relaxing, it is in a perfect place. For a weekend walk and relaxation it is an ok option, but for a longer stay there is not much to do in the area. The route to Vf. Toaca is spectacular, but difficult. Especially for people who do not hike frequently.

Beautiful place.

Beautiful place. It looks like it came out of a movie about life once upon a time. Simple, quiet houses, people still travel with carriages and horses and wear traditional clothing (especially the women). We were there in May so all the tourist facilities were closed (ski area) but we saw an amazing market that I wish was open! Perfect for children in the winter. We had one day and it was enough for us - again, because everything was closed. But it was definitely amazing to see the simple way of life of the people and the beautiful place they live in

It was the first time I was on this side of Lake Bicaz and I...

It was the first time I was on this side of Lake Bicaz and I was impressed by the beauty of the place, the monasteries and churches in the area, the gastronomy in the area... I ate at the restaurant of the Total-Ceahlau Pension, where we were also accommodated, and I highly recommend it.

A windowless room with only a skylight. Minimal service. Brioche served with soup was extra. In short, they could do much better, especially since they didn't seem overworked. I was alone. The photos are outdated, and the lake is a good kilometer away...

A fairly ordinary resort, not like one of my uncles said, who said he had never seen a more beautiful resort in his life than Durau (it is true that he was there before 1989 and the situation was completely different then), there are many other resorts in Romania and in the world that are much more beautiful

Mountain View Ceahlau is situated in a beautiful and quiet area, perfect for a good sleep and relaxation. The view of the mountains in front is amazing! Everything was very comfortable and made our one night stay an enjoyable experience. The fresh air, the cleanliness, the perfect beds and pillows and the overall atmosphere, all make this accommodation the perfect place to recharge your batteries. We've had breakfast at the property the following morning, it was very enough and very good.

The property is very conveniently situated in proximity to climbing the mountain Ceahlau. Only a hundred meters away from its location GOING EAST one can take and go up STRADA DURAUS all the way to the road AXIAL then go left on the road for two hundred meters or so to the access road to CABANA FÂNTÂNELE then to the summit TOACA . This is a lesser known route which I used successfully to access the mountain from the east a few times

The staff was always kind and lovely, the restaurant was very nice and enjoyable, location was good - 20-minute walk to/from Durau, bathrooms were clean and had hot water. The bed was comfy and the sheets were sparkling clean. The area was green with lots of trees and very well maintained. Loved the stream running by the property and the views of Ceahlau.
