I recently stayed at Hotel Boutique Aquarel in Zalău and had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Modern hotel in Zalau located in a neighborhood with flats, so it doesn't really stand out location-wise. The hotel looks pretty new and the rooms are well furnished and clean. The airco worked perfectly to cool down the room in summer, and the room was further very quiet so we slept well. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel, and another on the side (with barrier access); there was sufficient parking space and we could leave the fully-packed car in sight of the hotel entrance without any concerns. There are the usual amenities of a residential area nearby (banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, etc.). The restaurant has a varied menu and the food is very tasty. The breakfast is served early and provides sufficient choice, and good quality foods.
