FAQs about hotels in Doha

Pearl of the Arabian Gulf

The ultra-modern Doha is best known for its busy airport, impressive skyline and stunning waterfront. With plenty of newly built sports facilities, large shopping venues and growing commercial centres, Doha is a true representative of the fast-developing Qatar.

From its old souqs (open-air markets) to new shopping malls, Doha is home to half of Qatar’s population. Pearl Qatar, which is a commercial, residential, leisure and tourist complex, reflects the vibrant expansion and growth of the city. A highlight of Doha is Al-Corniche, a long seaside promenade that curves around Doha Bay offering stunning views of Palm Tree Island and the city's skyscrapers.

Due to the population diversity, a large variety of cuisines are available ranging from Indian to Italian, American and, of course, Middle Eastern. For travellers wanting an alcoholic drink, alcohol is only available in bars attached to international hotels.

Perched on a stand-alone island, The Museum of Islamic Art is a showpiece of the world’s most complete collection of Islamic artefacts, and the first of its kind in the Persian Gulf. For day excursions, Doha Zoo features a variety of animals, including the Oryx, Qatar's national animal. Aladdin's Kingdom is an amusement park located in the West Bay.

Booking.com offers a variety of self-catering apartments, luxurious hotels and resorts, overlooking the picturesque Gulf, and near Doha International Airport.

Love Doha!

Love Doha! We use it to break up the long trip between Melbourne and the UK staying a couple of nights. Such a clean city! Visit the Souk for the atmosphere and the City Mall for shopping. Used both ubers and metro to get around as well as walking! Temps.in November were a comfy 29-30'

Although it was still hot during the day, the evenings were much cooler than my previous trip. I still enjoyed the beautiful and unique architecture. The food is amazing; especially at Afhan Brothers and Shrimpy's. We went on a boat ride and it was so fun and beautiful. Got a better view of the city. Stunning view!

Ok place for someone who likes tall buildings and a concrete jungle. Not for me. No nature, no greenery. Too restricted in where one can walk. Not really made for pedestrians. Cheap tasty food to be had from non commercial international chains. The food for the quality and price in some restaurants was unbelievably low cost

Beautiful, relaxed, and peaceful country.

Beautiful, relaxed, and peaceful country. This was my second trip to the country, and certainly not the last. I visited newly discovered places such as Al Wakrah Beach and Torba Farm in Al Khor. Getting around the city was easy using Uber. There are restaurants everywhere and within easy reach no matter where you are in the city. I ate Syrian food in Souq Waqif, Indian food from one of the many lined restaurants at Al Wakrah promenade, and some days at the food court in City Centre Mall which had so many delicious options to choose from such as Indian, Mongolian, Arab, Turkish, and Western fast food. It was warming to see a popular franchise (Nando's) from my country at the mall too.

Thank you to Suren, very nice person, you can tell he loves his job. Makes you feel welcome, gave us an upgrade. Thank you. Great start to our time there. I like to try different hotels in doha, but honestly, I will return here. The hotel was nice, clean, new, very upmarket, and impressed overall. Better than many of its competitors.

Nice breakfast. High end finishes even though it’s outdated design wise but you’re surrounded by quality - unlike modern/new hotels
