New, modern and  very peaceful  guest house. The hosting family are the nicest people, very attentive and welcoming, making us feel at home. The room was of good size, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The guest house offers an excellent atmosphere, very quiet and relaxed. Dinners were excellent, a real treat. Two days in a perfect place: the hotel, its magnificent location , hiking on the beautiful hills of Douro river valley, vineyard and excellent wines, autumn colours and sunshine - it could not have been better. Staff All the staff were really friendly and helpful.The young guy who looked after us in the dining room was particularly lovely. Check in, check out. Easy to do. Room The rooms are quite large and spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and excellent ensuite bathrooms. Food Evening meals had a good selection and were really well cooked. Breakfast has a massive selection of fresh fruit, cereals, meat, cheese, and more. Cleanliness Everywhere was immaculately kept. Car parking. There are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel.

A lovely hotel in a friendly and interesting mountain village. Room was comfortable, clean and modern. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the street below. Staff are wonderful, very helpful and provide recommendations for restaurants and sights. Good value. I definitely recommend staying here.

Stay more than one night and explore: it pays dividends.

Stay more than one night and explore: it pays dividends. Have a look at Favaios and try the Cooperative's Moscatels, walking in the hills, go and see the palaeolithic art (about an hour away). One or two nights is not enough, especially if you include port tasting too! And there is always the poolside to relax when you dont want to do anything!

The area is just beautiful, stunning.

The area is just beautiful, stunning. There is a sense of awe that overcomes you and the natural surroundings... probably because how narrow the roads are and how high up are. It is worth the drive and the wine and olive oil in the area are exquisite.

One of the most beautiful places in the World.

One of the most beautiful places in the World. Don’t miss this area. Stay out of the large city. A vineyard hotel up high would be the perfect place. You’ll be able to drive through wonderful small villages in your way. Once in your hotel you’ll probably have access to a great personal or very small tour of the vineyard production facilities. We were invited to walk in the vineyard all we wanted. Views are absolutely amazing. We also stayed at the Barrel hotel which was touristy and filled with buses. Get up and away from the tourist crowd. We drive there Valley by car. It was easy and gorgeous.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food. It is worth doing a wine tasting with visit to know the details about wine making and the varities of grapes. The landscape is exquisite and you feel an inner peace looking down the Douro river and the vineyards. The people are warm and happy, always ready to help. It is better to go by car to enjoy the full potential of the region. Be prepared to drive on hills with many curves and narrow roads. They also produce olive oil and it is delicious!!!

Upon arrival our host Paolo greeted us with a sample of their home made Port,,we were quickly checked in and shown the property...the hotel is all brand new and very tastefully done..the pool was warm. The room was great...ac worked good and lots of hot water in the shower. Breakfast was good and we opted to have two dinners there...the food was great. The view is spectacular...

There are not enough words to express how stunning this location and this hotel are. The views are priceless, the welcome was so personal, the room was stunningly clean and the pool was divine. We had dinner at location and this was amazing made extra special by watching the sun set as we ate. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious and again acommpanied by a fantastic view.

Magnificent hotel with wonderful views over the Douro valley and vineyards. Beautiful room. Beautiful pool, which blends perfectly with the surroundings. Nice breakfast, which was not served outside with us, despite nice weather. Good dinner, served in beautiful dining room with classic hearth. Perfect location, 15 min (drive) from Pinhao.

I recently had an amazing experience at a vineyard hotel in Portugal. The staff was incredibly friendly, the views were breathtaking, and the boutique feel added to the charm. The food was delicious, and the selection of excellent wines was a highlight. It was an unforgettable stay that left me wanting to return in the future.

Stunning hotel with amazing views. Lovely pool. Very clean and large rooms. The host was very welcoming and professional. Wines and port made on the property is amazing! Dinner served at the hotel restaurant was delicious!
