This ‘gem’ of a property is located in the relaxing, countryside of the beautiful Algarve. Cidália was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The pool was great, we used it a lot and the games room was great fun. João, Cidálias’ son was just starting to launch a catering business and cooked us a delicious traditional Portuguese meal accompanied with Cocktails, (extra of course), perfect for a “night off”.

We had such a great stay, everything was perfect. Great host, easy self check in and such a quiet/calm area. Perfect place to rest and recharge, we’ll definitely come back and we can recommend to 100%. Also the fee chicken walking around the accommodation makes it super special - we loved it. The host: super helpful and also easy to chat with, we received great local tips - thank you!

The team is just amazing! They managed to fulfil my request of additional 2 more nights stay, in their other hotel Bartolomeu 1, literally just stone thrown away. I am truly grateful! I was in fact, a bit worried when, booking.com does not have my preferred availability. The room is truly beautiful and the shower is amazing, great linens and comfortable bed. The desk by the window facing the red painted building (the Hotel Bartolomeu 1), in such vibrant and welcoming manners. The breakfast is just perfect, with the absolute essential of freshly made coffee. To my surprise, there is a kitchenette with dining area and a comfy sofa. Hotel Bartolomeu 1 has all the above, with a little bonus of a roof terrace where, you are in full view of the church, there are a few small tables and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine under a perfectly blue sky.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and kind—attentive without ever being intrusive, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The breakfast was also delicious and a perfect start to the day. The beds in our rooms were a bit harder than I’m used to.
