Everything perfect, very clean and nice. We went during the week and it was almost empty, maybe that's why I found it very quiet, the room was perhaps the best of all, it was in a corner, excellent as you can see in the photos. The bathroom was also very big. The dining room terrace, we could not use it because it was cold and neither could we use it for breakfast because it was raining, but in good weather, it must be wonderful to be on it. The buffet breakfast was good. Highly recommended for visiting the area, or the museum.

Truly a 5-star hotel in the heart of Tondela. Excellent services all around! The rooms are spacious and quiet, the English-speaking staff is amazing, and the included breakfast is great, with options for all kinds of diets. Healthy healthy healthy!! I stayed at a couple of other nearby hotels that offered similar accommodations for the same price, but this one is much much better.

Friendly people. A locals hang out. The staff were great and helpful. Food is great and cheap. Breakfast included. A bit out of town, but just what we needed, after a day on the Camino Interior.

The town is the administrative centre for a group of...

The town is the administrative centre for a group of villages, with a museum, town hall and the usual shops, including three large supermarkets. Tondela is spread along a steep hill on Route N2. There is access to the Ecopista da Dao cycleway which stretches for 48 km along a former railway track, now asphalted. Nearby is the remarkable Museu do Caramulo with a wonderful collection of historic and classic cars and motorcycles.

Tondela is a small town but has everything you could need.

Tondela is a small town but has everything you could need. They have a football ground, bus station, a lovely park and the people are very friendly. It is easy to walk around the town which is just as well as no public transport. I have eaten at a few places in the town and have never had bad food either in snack bars or restaurants. I can recommend Joaninha's for coffee, snacks and pastries, and also Green's in the park for light snacks and drinks. The Vintage Caffe is great for meals and 3 Pipos just outside town for a special meal.

Tondela is a small town about 90 minutes from Porto.

Tondela is a small town about 90 minutes from Porto. I originally stayed as my son and daughter in law had a flat there whilst looking for property. There are plenty of restaurants and takeaways, shops and a lovely little park as well as a public swimming pool. There is a weekly market and everyone seems to be very friendly. It is a great base for a walking/cycling holiday especially with the Ecopista da Dao on the doorstep and cities such as Porto, Viseu and Coimbra not too far away or visits to the beaches at Aveiro or Figuera da Foz.

The hotel was very beautiful, equipped with all the appliances you can imagine. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was also OK. We were waited with cookies and coffee which my colleagues appreciated very much. The price was also acceptable. The staff was great. We liked the parrots flying in the morning and we were also showed the little ones.

Everything! Our suite (Oliveiras) was super roomy, better equipped than expected, magnificent natura light, even smelling nice. The breakfast experience beats any 4 star hotel I’ve ever been to. The property is not huge and all beautiful. Best of all: the staff, who made us feel at home and individually noticed in 10 different little ways. Thank you especially to João!

The hotel was lovely and clean the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The breakfast was buffet and had something for everybody very tasty . Internet was very good .

Excellent, scenic location, breathtaking views of the countryside. Close to Tondela, Viseu, and surrounding areas. Caroline was lovely, accommodating, and hospitable, and the apartment and pool were meticulous and really well finished.
