Excellent views from our balcony and the dining room of spectacular sunsets and seas.
Reception staff very welcoming
Food very good quality although choice of starter for set menu could be improved (we opted for the a la carte)

I liked the indoor pool area, which was a good size and great for kids. It was also nice to have a sauna. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The manager Francisco was exceptional. He went out of his way to provide advice on route, transport mode, places to go. I saw him carry heavy luggage for other hotel guests without them asking for help.

The hotel, an old palacio, was gorgeous, in lovely grounds. The rooms were decorated with frescoes and old furniture matching the style of the palace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast had many great options to chose from (or have it all!). The tasting menu dinner was delicious and an evening drink on the terrace watching the sun go down was beautiful. There is a path opposite the hotel that shortcuts the hill walk up to Pena Palace or Moorish Castle. It is fairly rough but fine for those who are steady on their feet. Not far from Regaleira palace and Sintra town either.

There are many historical places in Sintra that can be reached on foot. if you go to the right of the historical museum you can find a small restaurant on the balcony where they bake bread in a wood-fired oven. unfortunately I forgot the name, but you can see the sign. Very charming.
And visit Long Beach and the restaurant near the rock and try octopus on the grill. Very recommended.

The roads are very tight, the crowds of visitors are intense and some of the locals working in local shops/restaurants are very rude and completely over having to deal with tourists. However, the views are amazing and the Moorish Castle was very cool. Difficult place to travel but worth it!

Sintra was a lovely town but I like Aveiro better especially the hotel we stayed in. The hike to the palace is not that hard. Proper hiking shoes and clothes should be worn. It is not a stroll through a park. You will be climbing up and down narrow stairs. Bring water.
The palace is beautiful!.

Very touristy and difficult to manage with a car. Quite pricy. Good food at Tascantiga though.
Pena palace was too busy to enjoy properly though the Moorish castle was great. Shame didn't have enough time to visit Quinta da Regaleira.

really beautiful city. if you have time, you can spend up to 5 days with enough interesting sightseeing to visit. the traffic is heavy so I recommend to take buses or walking because uber/bolts can take too long to arrive where you are.
the best was a hiking from Sinta Palace to the historical center, really nice views

Sintra is a very pleasant city with a small but bustling old town. Restaurants are very good for the money. Parking would be a nightmare so don't drive in for the day. (our hotel had parking) Pena Palace was beautiful, then was dow to the Moorish Castle. but in my opinion, the crown jewel was Quinta Regliera. Make sure to get tickets online in advance!
We literally did feel welcomed and home from the very first second! The apartment has everything you need - beach equipment, bikes, a wonderful kitchen, outdoor and indoor hangout areas, insanely clean shower & comfy bedroom. Absolutely recommendable - we will come back whenever being back in Portugal again. The location is excellent to visit beaches within walking distance and a lots of wonderful towns around to explore by car!
You will hear the waves from the Atlantic Ocean when falling asleep - thanks for everything! 🙏🏿
Charming apartment with amazing views over the old town and the valley. You can also see the Moorish Castle from the other side of the apartment. Sonia was super helpful and friendly. We took a cab from the train station so we didn't have to deal with our luggage. I'm glad we did. Those hills in Sintra are no joke! Quinta Regaleira and the National Palace of Lisbon are an easy walk. I recommend both! Lovely town. We stayed two nights, and I could have easily stayed more!
Comfortable rooms though a little smaller than some hotels but with ample closet space. Very close to tram and bus to Macais beach. A vigorous hour hike up the hill to Moorish Castle. Breakfast of ham/cheese sandwiches and yogurt with fruit. Walking distance to the train station to Lisbon. Many restaurants in the area though some close early. Honesty bar of alcohol and drinks linked to room. Helpful staff. Easy after hours check in. Overall, awesome stay. Would recommend.
Very comfortable well equipped Villa with everything needed, beautiful small garden, excellent breakfasts, plenty of free parking, easy access by car (unlike most of Sintra which is horrific to access by car). Marco is an interesting fellow. I enjoyed talking with him. He helped me with some tasks I needed to do as a new resident of Portugal. I could walk 15 minutes to the train station (note the walk is on a steep hillside). I will return.
View is great. The property is a little oasis, ? former orchard. you can see the castle and Pena palace from the property. Pool looks good but we did not use it. Beds were comfortable enough, i.e. soft on top ( rarity in Portugal). Breakfast was fairly standard but we loved it - best bread we had in Portugal. We also liked the access to the communal kitchen, although for us it was just for coffee.
MAGICAL!! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel! Book the best room you can afford, as the nicer rooms have STUNNING views over the gardens and Sintra. We were lucky enough to stay in the top floor suite with a huge terrace/balcony that had views over all of Sintra and the Moor castle. It was so hard to say goodbye as the hospitality here was unparalleled and the room was exquisite.
This boutique hotel is lovely. Very clean and lots of beautiful marble everywhere. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. It was quiet and had a lovely view towards the castle. The breakfast was nice and accommodated my gluten free requirement.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The locations is perfect for getting around for walks, hikes, shops and lots of restaurants close by.
it’s so unique & such a beautiful location. The staff is wonderful. So welcoming. We especially liked Diego who gave us tons of history & information about the hotel! He was great. Also Beatrice lovely. Service excellent & very specific to us individually. We will definitely come back! Very easy to access from Lisbon. our first trip to Portugal & we loved it!!
Hosts, cleanliness, location and apartment (4 bdrms!!) all exceeded our expectations. One of the best rentals of our Spain and Portugal trip for sure!
I read past comments before booking and was amazed to see that they had fulfilled most all suggestions!
Appreciated the luggage storage as well. 🙂 Lovely place!
You cant ask for more as the location is the best. It is all walking distance to the train and bus station, eateries and tourist destinations. Diego is also helpful, friendly and accommodating. You get the best value of your money. I will stay again if ever i come back to Portugal to visit.
The place is in a great location, the ocean view you get from here is amazing. It's also nice to have caffees and restaurants just outside, plenty to choose from. Souldough pizzeria, is the best Pizza you find in Portugal and is not far away. Toilet was all renovated, amazing shower too.
The property was beautiful and was convenient to the bus stop and public transit to get to the castles. Jerome was a wonderful host and assisted us with information on how best to get to Sintra, restaurant recommendations and other helpful tips. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The Sintra Bliss Hotel seemed to be taken out of commission, so the hotel told us they upgraded all reservations to their sister hotel called the Sintra BOUTIQUE Hotel. Everything at Sintra Boutique Hotel was wonderful. Absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay.
Lovely place to stay. Excellent location especially being near the train station for Lisbon and bus pick up point for the Palace. Has its own parking, a real bonus in Portugal. Restaurants and bars close by too!
Best breakfast in all of Portugal! A breakfast ticket was issued to their charming restaurant where an opulent breakfast was served. Hotel is very close to train station and 50 minutes from Lisbon.
Everything. best sleep I had in Portugal! Karen was lovely and so hospitable. We had the family suite 2 Adults and 3 young adults. It was great to also have a breakfast supplied in the morning.
very nice small boutique hotel, the main living room is very cute and looks like a “Clue” game setting.
rooms are cozy and comfortable, well equipped with everything
everything, Carolina or helped me with the check-in was very thoughtful and the place was spotless, v clean. The best night sleep of my one week trip in Portugal.
One of the best hotel experiences I had in Portugal.
The staff was superb and very helpful during our stay.
Breakfast as delicious and with a great selection.
