This accommodation truly took me by surprise – in the best way. First of all, the hostel is run by wonderful owners who are incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative. During my travels in Portugal, I faced an unexpected and serious issue, and they went out of their way to help me simply out of goodwill. Second, the place is very well maintained. There’s a pool and a small courtyard to relax in, a games and entertainment room, comfortable beds, clean and well-equipped bathrooms, and even a shared balcony with lovely views of the countryside and nearby horses. Third, the village itself is absolutely charming. If you're looking for hidden gems in Portugal, this is definitely one of them – a beautiful hilltop fortress with a church, narrow walking streets, a pedestrian bridge over the river, and plenty of peaceful spots to sit and enjoy the view. This is an excellent place to spend the night. And if you ask, the hosts are more than happy to share their personal recommendations for what to see and where to eat in the area.

We liked everything. Was just for one night in a working day, so there weren't many people staying there, we could as well be the only ones. Super calm, clean, great morning walk in the cork oak field accompanied with Rosinha, cutest dog ever.

The location was excellent with a view over the river, the continental style breakfast was adequate but could have been elevated maybe by offering scrambled/boiled eggs etc

Very comfortable beds, extremely good environment for the trips within the region. Friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool is heated for a very comfortable temperature, that makes the stay more pleasant. Bbq area was made available for us, thanks we really appreciate additional effort. The surrounding is very quiet and relaxing which is important for the night sleep.
