The location is really good - staying in Ribeira Grande instead of Ponta Delgada leaves you in a very less touristy position while still being close to everything. The hosts were incredibly friendly, prepared local recommendations for our stay, had a basket of local products waiting for us on our arrival and towels to bring to the thermal pools. Everything was perfectly clean and we had all the basics for a comfortable stay. There's some outside space where you can hang out, enjoy the weather or eat. We can't stress enough how kind the hosts were - if anything is missing, they'll make sure to get it for you. Highly recommend.

A beautiful property situated in a rural area. Crispim was a great host welcoming us;he provided strawberries picked from the vegetable plot which were great. The fridge had a few essentials when we arrived together with a bottle of wine which were appreciated. The apartment was situated in large grounds with a wonderful patio area overlooking the infinity pool. Once we figured how to get to main road from property it was excellent for access the whole of the island. It was ideal for our last 5 nights on the Azores with time to just chill out

We arrived early in the moning and the host let us leave our bags at her place which was next door to the property. The place was clean, had everything we needed. The location was very central, close to restaurants, market and ocean. The bus station was 10 minutes walk away.

I enjoyed Riberia Grande.

I enjoyed Riberia Grande. It is a great place to situate yourself if you are planning to visit different areas of the island. The public swimming pools and ocean access was fantastic. I enjoyed going to the courtyard area in my area nightly to eat and enjoy a glass of wine. Took a little getting used to the serving staff here as they did not seem interested in their customers. Upon searching Google, I found out this may be because they are paid a decent living wage and therefore not reliant on tips. This makes it even more confusing as to why they would not be receptive to their customers.

We loved the quiet beauty of the home. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed a tour of the East side with Manuel. Hot springs were lovely if you don’t mind walking on the basalt.

We wanted an authentic, non-touristy area to base ourselves. That’s Ribeira Grande. Pretty town with all amenities (grocery, laundry, museums), gorgeous town square and walkability. Nice access to rest of island for hikes. Friendly locals. Chocolatino, Tukatula, O Canadiano, Pacheco, casa de Pasto Flor-all great restaurants for varying appetites. Azores Brewing-excellent beer and fun vibe.

Ribeira Grande was accessible to drive everywhere on Sao Miguel; a 20 minute drive to the airport, Wonderful little restaurant Mare Nostre on the water was a great find; close to the Continente and Pingo Doce for groceries.

We loved the penthouse Monte Azul in Ribeira Grande.

We loved the penthouse Monte Azul in Ribeira Grande. The location was easy to find, there was always street parking available. The apartment was beautifully equipped and overlooked the shoreline. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the waves and the sunset. We were able to walk to several restaurants in the area, and getting there from Ponta Delgada was roughly 25 minutes.

The staff was very attentive and sincere. We had a delicious breakfast at the Resort daily. The beach was an integral part of a relaxing stay. Once you become accustomed to a round-about, you'll be fine driving. The city of Ribeira Grande is very walkable too.

Absolutely loved the apartment. It exceeded my expectations, it offered a way lot more than you expect in a good quality hotel, it really felt like home. Spacious, sparkling clean, kitchen with all equipment you can imagine, bed super comfy, living room area comfortable. I definitely would stay again. High quality, hope they keep it up as they do excellent job! Bakery closeby, private parking was appreciated since otherwise hard job to find a parking place in those busy narrow one way streets. It was close to walk to the promenade by the sea.

A small hotel with everything we needed;towels provided for the hotel pool and outdoor activities like the thermal baths (this is a great iniciative), wonderful breakfast, good advice and help organising activities from staff, your own cupboard/fridge space in the kitchen in case you want to eat there. All in all I highly recommend!

It was quite nice accommodation near Ribeira Grande. The bathroom was common with other rooms, it is a little bit uncomfortable, but there are 4 rooms for 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The bed is not too good yet. The breakfast was very basic, I’d like to have some vegetable.
