Such a beautiful place to stay, I absolutely love being secluded in nature and this whole area was stunningly beautiful and very peaceful. It was easy to find and the instructions were all excellent, parking was convenient as well. Maybe not the best area to stay in for those who lack mobility but for everyone else, I would highly recommend staying here. Sadly, we didn't stay for long so didn't get the full experience, I'm sure it's even better for longer stays. There was a really friendly cat which made things even more enjoyable and also upon entrance to the house, you are greeted with a really nice smell, very pleasant touch! The host is incredibly friendly and very helpful.

Really friendly staff and clean, upscale accommodations. I love that they are dog friendly and were really welcoming to our dogs. We stayed in one of the rooms with the large balconies and that was very open and spacious. The breakfast is amazing. Lots of praia fluvials in that area and some really nice nature trails. Visit the local market next door for some treats or the campisimo across the street on the river.

Exceptional small hotel located in a rustic old village on top of the mountain. Very nice bed and breakfast, with great pool surrounded by garden with beautiful landscaping. The rooms are decorated with vintage furniture and artwork all over the place. Breakfast is good. There is a restaurant which looks very inviting, outside patio seating, and during the day there are plenty of patio and lounge seats with great views of the valley. Very friendly staff. We highly recommend this hotel for a stopver in beautiful quaint surroundings.

Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The location is isolated, yet shouldn't be missed. Just enough choices of eateries in the town square.

I liked Inatel Piódão for the room and common spaces, including a covered swimming pool. I also liked the possibilities of having meals at Inatel. Moreover, it is a very quiet place and close to the historical village of Piódão.

It's worth strolling through the narrow streets lined with...

It's worth strolling through the narrow streets lined with houses made of schist (slate in Brazil). The place is very picturesque. It's worth going by car or walking to Foz do Egua. Chã de Egua is emptier than Piodão. It's worth enjoying the whole place and savoring the local delicacies... Don't forget to drink the local wine.

I loved every minute I spent in Piodão.

I loved every minute I spent in Piodão. And the accommodation was simply perfect. Clean, organized, romantic, and very comfortable. Without a doubt, the most romantic accommodation we've ever had. Upon arrival, the hostess leaves a basket with delicious regional products. Everything was impeccable.

The hikes along the trails are fantastic!

The hikes along the trails are fantastic! The restaurants have spectacular service, and the staff are very friendly! I recommend wearing comfortable shoes to walk around the streets in Piodão. In short, everything was exceptional!

A fascinating village with breathtaking views.

A fascinating village with breathtaking views. Very friendly and hospitable people. The trip to Foz D'Égua was the icing on the cake. We had dinner at the restaurant “O Fontinha”. A wonderful chanfana (a traditional Portuguese dish). Access is a bit difficult. It shouldn't be attempted at night. But the scenery makes up for it.

Wonderful accommodation in the heart of this cute little village. The converted schist house has all the modern conveniences and a cosy atmosphere, in a beautiful setting. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the local host who popped in with it also runs the Solar dos Pachecos restaurant, which I can recommend for local cuisine. I hope the landscape and Piódão tourism start to recover after the devastating wildfires this year.

Casa da Padaria is the perfect place to stay in the charismatic village of Piodão. On a day of heavy rain, Casa da Padaria was the perfect refugee, giving us a very comfortable night and waking up with a beautiful view. The room is very comfortable, the host is extremely nice, and the breakfast is superb. Highly recommended!

This hotel has a big swimming pool. It is placed in a beautiful location. Above the village of Piodao. The staff are very friendly and always ask if you need anything. Very comfortable seating. Alot of choice for breakfast and the dinner buffet has also got good choice in food.

Our stay was excellent. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean. Bed and room were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with delicious cakes, breads, meats and cheeses. More than expected and exceptional value. My only complaint was my pillow which was a bit thin.
