On hot summer days, the hotel provides a refreshing saltwater pool for guests to cool off. For those seeking a more "natural" experience, the nearby Paiva river is just a short five-minute walk away and offers an excellent spot for a swim. While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, they do offer a convenient "home delivery" service, allowing guests to order typical Portuguese cuisine dishes from a nearby restaurant and have them delivered right to their doorsteps. The breakfast served at the hotel is a delightful representation of Portuguese cuisine, featuring sweet pastries, yogurt, cheese & ham, as well as bread, coffee, and tea. Personally, I found it to be tasty and delicious.

This accomodation is something else. It is a home and we felt the love right when we came in. We had planned for Douro Valley only one night but we quickly decided to spend here two nights eventhough it rained for the whole time. We took it as a small retreat for us to charge our batteries for next stops. The host, Maria, was very helpful and welcoming. Everything was super clean and tastefully designed and the breakfast was like our slow sunday brunch at home.

Higly reccomend. The place is tranquil. View form terrace is anbsolutely stunning (think photos don't reflect the view) with gentle sound of flowing water and crickets. Garden is full of hidden places to relaks. Place is super clean and functional, thought out down to the smallest details (eg. mosquito nets, shower, places to sit and relaks, beutiful garden). Kitchenette was the best we had so far- wide variety and good quality. Plus hosts are nice and helpful. It is 20-30 min to passadicos do paiva and arouca bridge.
