Very nice facility. Rooms are very comfortable and high quality. The location has an unparalleled view all the way to the ocean and everything works really nicely. There are plenty of spaces to read, meditate and chat. There is a natural swimming pool that looks very appealing but we stayed in March so we couldn’t use it.

Ōku : My best Booking experience ! First of all, the place is gorgeous. Even more than in the pictures. The house is arrounding by nature, and i saw the best sunsets.  The entrance is steep, but if you don't succeed to climb the ramp, there is a place where you can park your car before the property (what I did, so it's absolutly not a problem).  The room I had was so huge and so cosy, with a view of nature and quiet, really relaxing.  The kitchen is amazing, I had everything i needed to cook. Ōku is also a human experience, because Rita hosts people from all over the world. So it's the perfect place to meet really nice people.  Rita is so kind, welcoming and caring. She did everything she could to make my stay perfect. I felt like at home.  She has 2 adorable dogs Olivia and Oscar, who have so much love to give.  In short, it was a wonderfull stay.  My only regrets are not going for a swim in the pool and not staying longer. But I will come back ☺️.

Monchique is a beautiful region, be sure to travel all...

Monchique is a beautiful region, be sure to travel all around it to see all the beautiful sites and areas. Fresh air in the mountains and a very peaceful area. A great place to hike and take in the views. Don’t forget to visit the convent and take a stroll through the old village. The thermal spa resort is a nice visit as well. If you travel west you will find some little towns with amazing views.

Monchique Springs is a small village a few minute drive from Monchique town. It's much nicer than the town, which seems quite neglected. In contrast Monchique Spa is green, beautiful, well kept and much more interesting with an air of a spa in Switzerland, or England. A must to see!

Monchique is a lovely little town in the mountains , we went to the Spa and that was so relaxing . We sat in the town square and had a glass of wine . Quiet and peaceful We are in a local restaurant which was delicious and went to the Mercado too !!!

A beautiful Roman Spa town set high in the hills above the Algarve; the hotel we stayed in was part of the spa which has been bought by an ambitious hotelier who has yet to improve all the buildings to a satisfactory standard. The signage at the hotel is woeful we spent the first two hours of our visit completely lost. If the entrance to the guest parking is down the side of a factory which it is, tell people rather than leave them driving around confused

Monchique is a pretty little town in the mountains, with quiet cobbled streets, boutique shops and wonderful cafes. The new Velochique Cafe is amazing. The area is dotted with incredible trails for walking and cycling and is a great place to stay for a quiet night but still close enough to the Algarve to visit during the day. Silves is a wonderful nearby historic town with an 11th century fort and more wonderful shops and restaurants. Monchique has a good mid sized supermarket that caters for all your needs too. And there are some good local restuarants.

Perfect tiny house, designed and appointed so thoughtfully and stylishly. Perfect location too, with a small grocers around the corner and lots of delicious restaurants to explore in town. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or near Monchique. My 6’4 partner and I were there for 6 nights, and it was everything we wanted and more. Rui was so lovely to meet and welcome us too. Very happy we found it.

The spa experience was good, though not all facilities were available. Our treatments however were superb. Our suite was more than we expected and had 2 bathrooms. Very spacious with water and coffee/ tea topped up daily. Staff were both friendly and helpful and I found communication via the hotel WhatsApp extremely handy., especially as the responses were very prompt.

The house provided the perfect base from which to explore the Monchique area. We loved the location and the beautiful views. Carlos was a very welcoming, kind host and offered plenty of advice about places to visit. We were welcomed to explore his orchard and garden.
