For us the location was good because we planned to visit Paiva Walkways. Otherwise the location is on the countryside and you should own a car to get there. Really nice and calm environment. Only few rooms so you can enjoy silence. Pool was small but very appreciated after the hike. Breakfast was really nice. Accommodation aims to be environmentally friendly and it seems that it really is. They had Rituals toiletries. That was nice.

Luis and his wonderful wife couldn't do enough for us, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lovely and spacious. This establishment is family run, and Luis and his wife run it like a finely oiled machine! I would highly recommend this accommodation. Calm and relaxing. It's truly amazing!!! 10 stars ++++

We had an amazing stay at this house! Very cozy, spacious, and clean, with a breathtaking view of the Douro River. The house is full of history and a unique atmosphere, and here we truly felt the spirit of Portuguese culture. Everything is perfectly arranged for a comfortable stay.
