I just had the best time at this amazing hotel! The staff's hospitality was top-notch. They welcomed us with a drink and showed us around the hotel. It was my husband's birthday, so the hotel made it super special by giving us a nicer room! Also, the staff set up fun things for us to do, like a boat trip and wine tasting at a nearby winery, which I highly recommend! The hotel has an outdoor heated pool and an indoor pool with saunas. Perfect for chilling out. And the breakfast was seriously the best ever – so many tasty choices! To sum it up, this hotel rocks! The staff is awesome, the food is great, and the place itself is just so cool.

Our family lived on the new wings with interconnecting rooms, overlooking the vineyard. Since we went at winter the low season, travellers aren’t many, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great! Range of food selection is appropriate given the hotel size (about 40 rooms) and the quality is 5 star grade. The only place I can find a true type of croissant I used to eat but not those sticky one in the pastry shops. We had lunch at their pub serving light meals. Price is affordable at about 18 Euro per dish for pasta and meat sandwich respectively. Given the tranquility, the scenic maple tree under the winter sun, and the quality of food, I personally feel worth it. Dinner we ordered room service at about 30 Euro per dish as we wanted to rest at the cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are 5 star grade in terms of comfort level, though size isn’t big. Laying in the bed looking out to the green vineyard and hills, plus their complementary sweet Pacheca port wine is another unique and memorable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Even there aren’t many guests, the hotel still put effort to decorate it for Christmas everywhere indoor and outdoor tastefully. Really appreciate!

Great value, very friendly staff, great breakfast, and very clean. It is also perfectly placed for all the site seeing and restaurants in Lamego. And having secure parking is worth the money alone. Just be prepared it is a little old fashioned and resembles a 1970's guest house. Not a negative as we would gladly stay there again, but something to be aware of. Best value hotel by miles.

We had a two night stop just outside Lamego mid September, perfect for us. There are enough things to see and do for this period of time including a museum. Unfortunately this was closed during our stay. Thursday appears to be a market day and pretty traditional. The highlight of this city is Santuario de Nossa Senhora dos Remedios. Get ready for some exercise!

We have been travelling for many years and staying through booking.com. Our hosts Jorge and Isobel were simply wonderful and made our 4 day stay in the Douro valley just the best part of our trip. They were welcoming, generous and shared so much hospitality with us. We highly recommend Quinta do Apriceste to anyone travelling to the Douro to make the best of their holiday!

We liked the location, Lamego is the best town in the area ideally situated to visit the Douro Valley by car. The hotel is well established, full of character and kept very clean. Eat at A Taberna in the town, good value for good food

Great views from the terrace. The spa facilities were good. The rooms were large. The pool area was nice even though the water was too cold in April to swim in it. We swam in the indoor pool instead which was lovely. We visited Quinta Pacheca and ate at the Kulina tapas restaurant in town which was excellent too. We didn’t really have sufficient time to explore Lamego. On the negative side the outside of the modern part of the hotel is not attractive, but doesn’t detract from your stay as it’s forgotten once inside.

The hotel has been run by the same family for 40 years and the decor consists of items collected by the owners during the years. This is no way minimalistic but full or character and enjoyable. The private parking is in the basement and the floors can be accessed by the lift. The staff are amazingly good and the hotel is spotless. The breakfast is also very good. We highly recommend the Cerrado hotel to visit Lamego and the Douro valley.

The house is an old building made of rock boulders, carefully and tastefully refurbished, comfortable and functional. We enjoyed a lot. The surroundings are fabulous, the little green villages, the vineyards, the spectacular Douro valley, all these make this experience unforgettable. The nearby town of Lamego is absolutely fantastic, as is the christian Sanctuary.

Views from the hotel are amazing - right across the Douro valley. The rooms are very comfortable (though a little dark). Beds are very comfortable - we slept really well. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice, very good quality and dishes constantly replenished.
