Beautiful place, much more that we were expecting. We loved how you could feel in touch with nature, which we always look for but weren't expecting to be so ever-present as in this accommodation. You could feel the love the host has for the place and its history, as well as animals an nature. There is a friendly dog, friendly fish (goldfish) that you can feed and pet, friendly cats , and even friendly rabbits. You park under a grapevine and in grass, so your car stays in the shade. Breakfast was plentiful and also surprising, as the host gave us exactly what we enjoy, plenty of fruit and handmade yogurt. The room was spacious but not too big, and the view of the garden full of flowers greeted us every morning. We wished we stayed longer to enjoy the pool and other facilities.

Spotlessly clean, beautiful guesthouse, in a quiet neighbourhood with incredible hosts! Joaquim and Elisabete are incredibly hospitable, passionate about providing a good service and and know so much about the area that you would never find in a guidebook. Rooms are spacious, quiet and have everything you need. There is a little minibar of snacks and drinks (including coffee and port wine) available in the rooms, with very, very reasonable prices. Breakfast is incredible - fresh bread and pastries from the local bakery (a different type of pastry every day), cold meats, cereal, yoghurt, tea and coffee. It sets you up well for the day! Free parking on the grounds for our rental car, and as there were four of us, we predominately used Ubers to get in and out of Porto city center (if there are only two of you, public transport is cheaper), which were around 10 Euro each way (and it took 10-15minutes). If you're looking for somewhere to stay that is quieter than the center of Porto, Areais Do Douro Guesthouse is perfect. I will definitely be recommending to my family and friends, and if ever I am in Porto again, I will definitely be back here! Thank you so much Joaquim and Elisabete - we had a fabulous holiday

The Social Hub Porto was a wonderful choice for my two-night stay. The design is modern, fresh and creative — perfect for relaxing or working. The location is excellent, very central and close to everything. I especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was also great, with a good variety and fresh ingredients. A very comfortable and inspiring place — I’d definitely come back!

A trully five stars brand new hotel, located în a picturesque neighbourhood on a narrow medieval street, very close to the city center. The staff is really nice and helpful, always with a smile on the face. The breakfast consists of a good selection of chees, ham, homemade yogurt, cereals, eggs, fruits, fresh cakes and pastry. The bread is delicious, you can't stop eating it, take care, ladies! Our room had a nice view over the roofs. We were delighted to find pastry and porto wine upon arriving at the hotel, and fresh fruits in the room during our stay. We shall come back, not only for the lovely Porto, but for this special place. Obrigado!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Everything was perfect. Norberto goes above and beyond for his guests – from the warm welcome and personal tour of the property to his thoughtful recommendations. The setting is calm and authentic, like a charming little farm, and you immediately feel at home. The breakfast was outstanding, with delicious homemade products and fresh ingredients straight from the garden – a real treat every morning. Our bed was super-luxurious and extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights was Gaudi, Norberto’s adorable little pinscher, who happily trotted along with us and loved cuddles – such a sweet touch that made the stay even more memorable.

Beautiful hotel & surroundings and easy to get into Porto with Uber. The attention to details in this hotel are exceptional, from the design of the buildings to the decor. All the staff were attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. Norberto has created an amazing place to stay and together with his staff (and little Gaudi the friendliest dog ever), he has made a place I would definately recommend to everyone. This place is an absolute gem.

Lovely room quiet location, peaceful surroundings and extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Breakfast was lovely- ordered individually each evening for the following morning. This little hotel is a real gem - a little off the beaten track but only about 15 mins drive from the centre if Porto. No restaurant on site but recommendations given for excellent local restaurants where we ate very well at extremely reasonable prices.

Pedro and the Villarit hotel team were really great. The hotel is located in the outskirts of Porto in a very quiet neighbourhood, and has a parking lot for guests. Its a small but very pleasant hotel which includes a swimming pool. We were granted a very comfortable room with a jacuzzi that felt great after a long walk through Porto.

A great place to relax. Very tasty breakfast served individually in the beautiful dining room. Beautiful and very cozy territory of the hotel, where you can sit with a glass of wine. Swimming pool where my son loved to swim. Clean and pleasant rooms. Very friendly staff. My best recommendation.
