The owners of this small place are beyond great, working at a five star level of service. I rarely leave reviews but this place was well worth our stay. We had initially booked at a different property but that place smelled. We booked this at the last minute, arrived an hour later to be treated like welcome old friends. The couple that owns and runs this place have done an excellent job of developing a spa like experience. Light pleasing music playing in courtyard, constant running water spout to give reading feeling. Set in an old farm house but with very high quality modern touches. The owner is a designer and has put in hard work to blend the old and new. The breakfast made fresh with farm fresh fruit and eggs was excellent, better than what I have had at Ritz Carlton in Florida. Great coffee, bread, cheeses, fruits, home made kiwi ham. Etc. Location is peaceful and relaxing, only 15 minutes to Porto, one KM to a river walk. Only stated two days but wish we had more time there. The room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable and great pillows. Easy parking. Nice garden and pool (did not have time to use pool) Will be recommending this to all my friends. The couple spent some time talking with the concept of this place and what they were trying to achieve. They have done well and wish them all the success fo this business!!!

The breakfast buffet is beautifully presented. Every thing is very fresh and refilled quickly. The staff does an amazing job of making sure that every guest has everything they need. Lovely experience. I was especially pleased that the buffet mamagee asked if I had any food allergies on my first visit and remembered on subsequent visits. Little detail that kept me safe and I appreciate it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Everything was perfect. Norberto goes above and beyond for his guests – from the warm welcome and personal tour of the property to his thoughtful recommendations. The setting is calm and authentic, like a charming little farm, and you immediately feel at home. The breakfast was outstanding, with delicious homemade products and fresh ingredients straight from the garden – a real treat every morning. Our bed was super-luxurious and extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights was Gaudi, Norberto’s adorable little pinscher, who happily trotted along with us and loved cuddles – such a sweet touch that made the stay even more memorable.

For people planning to visit Porto, staying in Gondomar...

For people planning to visit Porto, staying in Gondomar isn't very practical unless they have a car or choose to use public transport (buses). There's no metro in Gondomar. But the city is great for those who like to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

A non-touristy town (Porto is about ten kilometers away), so...

A non-touristy town (Porto is about ten kilometers away), so it's quiet. The advantage is the excellent local cuisine at very affordable prices, especially "Ponte De Freixio," rightly recommended by the hotel owner. However, a car is necessary to get around to Porto or the metro.

Gondomar is very close to the center of Porto, and the beaches are only 15 minutes away. Furthermore, the Porto stadium metro station and the adjacent shopping center are 5 minutes away. There are small restaurants and traditional shops.

Beautiful hotel & surroundings and easy to get into Porto with Uber. The attention to details in this hotel are exceptional, from the design of the buildings to the decor. All the staff were attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. Norberto has created an amazing place to stay and together with his staff (and little Gaudi the friendliest dog ever), he has made a place I would definately recommend to everyone. This place is an absolute gem.

The hotel and atmosphere was brilliant, and the host, Norberto, really made us feel at home - very friendly. The breakfast was also really good, with most of it grown at the hotel itself. It's a great hotel if you want a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend staying here.
