Great breakfast buffet, big and comfortable bungalow, but the absolute highlights were the view we had over the garden and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! From Cristiano and everyone else at reception, to Marcia and the restaurant staff, who were very attentive and doing their best to accommodate us. Really an exceptional stay!

If you're looking for somewhere quiet, then Várzea is the place for you! It was so peaceful. I stayed in the garden suite which was so luxurious and comfortable - I really loved it. I wish I had booked more than 1 night.

We had the best stay at villa Anna Splendid. It exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Alexey and Anna made us feel completely at home. They were warm, friendly, and always available if we needed anything — thanks to them, we never went without a single thing. The villa is gorgeous inside and out. We saw the best sunsets of our lives from there. The facilities were great: the infinity pool was lovely, the kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and the private sauna was such a treat. It was a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Perfect place to unwind.

Very quiet location, apartment had everything you need for a weeks stay.supermarkets/ airport 5 minutes away. Spotless apartment,also provided washing liquid for machine and shampoo etc. Marcia kept in touch to see we were ok. Definetly reccomend.

Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

I stayed in the Country Suite for 1 night, the room is beautifully decorated and had a helpful book about São Miguel Island with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit whilst on the Island. I also liked the bath salts and the reduction in plastic for the toiletries. The villa and area is peaceful and is only about a 10 minute drive from Sete Cidades, Mosteiros and Feteiras.

BLACK MOULD AND DAMP IN PROPERTY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

BLACK MOULD AND DAMP IN PROPERTY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As soon as you walk into the property, there is a VERY strong smell of damp/mould. It meant I couldn't sleep properly for the 2 nights we were there and I actually had breathing problems for days afterwards. There was a huge dehumidifier in the kitchen and it had also recently been re-painted so the owners know of this issue and still are accepting paying customers, which is terrible as it's a health hazard! We let the reception know and what they offered as an alternative accommodation was not relative. Also we only had 3 days on the island so didn't have time to be researching alternative places to stay. It was the morning so we'd opened all the doors to get rid of the smell. At night when all doors and windows were closed, the smell was unbearable and we felt trapped and unsafe. I would NOT recommend staying in this property at all. Anything positive about the property is negated by the black mould and smell of the property.
