The staff is very accommodating and the place has many cozy touches, such as candies and fruits spread throughout. The village had a strong roman presence, and it shows, so even in the village (Matança), you can enjoy some sight seeing, and you are fairly close to Trancoso (historical town, with medieval city center), Guarda (historical vity with an impressive cathedral), and Serra da Estrela peak. We only spent one night in the cabin and definitely will be back. The place is a real remote escape. The sound of the river, next to it. Just a perfect place to relax. Don't forget to bring yoga mattresses to enjoy the view while practicing yoga. The breakfast is a very nice bonus. We had everything we needed. Thank you, exceptional hospitality.

The grounds are very pleasant and well tended. The welcome was very good despite the fact we arrived just before 11pm. The boss and the staff were very friendly and always very helpful in everything. We had not chosen to include breakfast since our accomodation included a kitchenette, however it was generously offered to us for the length of our 10 days stay and well appreciated. We enjoyed the table-tennis and the billiard very much. The place feels safe and each accomodation also has its own private parking space. Thank you Shr Joaquim and Shra Clara.
